WOW! With a car like that you can be the star of your own halloween / horror film everyday. When that trucker was backing the buggy off the trailer, I would have had road flares lit at several places, yards behind the thing. I've seen too many cars mashed to ever think such an event was worry-free.

You're mom's a lucky lady! That's an extraordinary example of one of these cars. The '57-'58 model years are my personal favorites from the DeSoto line... and the best Christmas present I could ever imagine! If you guys get a chance when the weather get's better, I'd love to see more videos of your mom's DeSoto. YouTube simply doesn't have nearly enough documentation of these fine automobiles!

my dad has two 58's 4 door fireflight and 2 door firesweep ..the 2 door has a 540 hp 440 with a hemi 833 4 speed ford 9 inch rear..pure sweet
