I actually enjoyed this film. People who thought it boring and a waste of time, were probably dissapointed by the lack of jump scares, gore etc, the usual "scary" films shown today.
I found it scary in a psychological way, which is what I think the makers were going for. The style of film felt so real, like it was actually happening, of course some parts of the plot seemed a little far fetched, but I enjoyed it all the same, and this film did really creep me out.
I have questions about this!!! Okay, so let me get this straight. She had an affair with that one guy, and he broke into their house to look for it but why? & how exactly did she drown? I kept thinking for some reason that the guy killed her.

First im gonna say that paranormal activity SUCKED! Everyone said that it was so scary but it made me laugh my ass off. I just saw this on TV the other day, I thought it was a real documentary because I had never heard of it. It creeped me out. Personally I do believe in the paranormal. You don't know what the afterlife is so you can't discard it as a possibility. But now I see that it was fake it's disappointing. :/

Paranormal events, vampires, found footage-like movies... Our time is sealing those types of film to never be used anymore. Some of these films were indeed good, but they're getting overused.

Can I have the last hour and a half of my life back?!!!!! This was by far the worst movie I have ever watched, don't waste your time. Paranormal Activity was way way way way way way more scarier then this piece of shizzzzzzzzz...so boring and retarded!

@rgz1985 [SPOILERS] She was having threesomes with the neighbor couple that she babysat for. (They were videotaped.) Also, she saw herself when she was already dead while on a camping trip w/ friends. eek. Good flick. Though I still can't figure out why the threesome thing. : /

@jenwa02 I think perhaps it was a means of trying to give the family closure, give them a lead to follow: the neighbours had disappeared after the idea of her ghost being in the house. They had something to hide...maybe it wasn't an accidental death? That's what I can glean from it. I could be wrong...meh : /

It worked really well , so much better than The Fourth Kind...the cast here is great and we think that we are seeing a documentary all the time! In the other movie , the actress put the premisse in the trash by her own...Paranormal Activitie it's not so good as some people said , the plot isn't perfect at all sometimes the movie stucks in the same idea!

I loved loved loved this movie!! :D.....sometimes people forget what cinema provides you......and in these days it´s not easy to find a good and solid story....this is a good one....widely recomended if you want something different .....sometimes even fans of the genre get bored of blood and guts, or fucking horny teenagers stories ¬¬

Everyone please do not watch this film if you have seen Paranormal Activity. This was not even a movie it was a mere documentary with no more than 3 min of "scary" footage. I watched this movie and wasted hours of my life i wont get back.

@shekylie no worries, the trailer makes this movie seem better than it is. There is actually no action or drama in this film, was more like a bad discovery channel documentary... and that's not being fair to discovery channel.
