@Ponchodelamancha Actually, at about 18 seconds if you listen closely you can hear me telling two drunk idiots to "shut the fuck up. people came from all over the world to see this - now shut the fuck up." It was effective.
I guess the female voice is not the same featuring the original song from their first album, isn't she?
if so she's really very skilled and got a voice scarely similar to the original female singer, what a band!I was sure they were disbanded after "to keep from crying" released in 1974
I got nostalgic after watching this, and sought out clips of similar bands from that era, Family etc. Found a recent clip of Jethro Tull, and time has not been kind to them. Whereas Comus may look like a bunch of badgers (mostly), but still play with the vitality of youth. The rest must have done them good. Bloody Brilliant!
wonderful! and you did the right thing, those assholes should not be allowed to attend such shows. was it really Bobby Watson there? The vocalist looks and sounds so young ;)
Yep believe it or not that's Bobbie. At first I thought it must be a replacement because she simply looked too young, but then the projected images of Comus circa 1972 came up and they she looked like they could've been taken yesterday!
Even better was that her voice sounded *exactly* like the record. Simply awesome.
As Mikael from Opeth said on his blog, "Bobbie looked as she'd been in a time capsule since 1971 and her voice was just as intact. Wow! Amazing!"
Not seen any high-res photos around yet but there were pro photographers at the gig so some should turn up soon. There is also gonna be a DVD of the melloboat which should look & sound a helluva lot better than the dodgy video from my little Canon IXUS ;)
Can't wait till I see it. And I dream of seeing them myself of course, but its quite unlikely that they visit Poland... I'm very happy to see them play together anyway.
What an amazing show. You can hear me from 0:20-0:30 telling a drunk imbecile to "SHUT THE FUCK UP. People came from all over the world to see this, now SHUT THE FUCK UP."
Yeah I saw that - nice work. Obviously the little turd had no idea of what he was lucky enough to be witnessing. I was so happy to be seeing The Herald live and when he wouldn't shut up I kicked him so hard up the arse he almost fell over.
He was quiet for about a minute after that but then he piped up again. If he'd kept it up I was gonna drag him outside myself, but he piped down after you had a quiet word...;)
Wtf?? Comus reunion?? No one told me. One of the greatest bands ever! Jihaa!! Welcome back in to my nightmares!

Yeah this crowd has no respect for greatness. Talking the whole time! They need to be collectively slapped!

It was great to see them again, but the crowd weren't as good as at Melloboat and the sound guy kept screwing up and causing feedback...

Simply AWESOME.
Just don't know what else to say.
Bobbie looks exactly like she did on the pics from 1972.
Glad to see I'm not the only one who loves Comus.
Thank you for the video...How lucky you've been seeing them live!!
