@realTALAL299 Most people ask how I got a shiny Charmander but you can get a normal Charmander in LeafGreen or FIreRed for the Game Boy Advance. Then you can transfer it to Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. You can even transfer it to Black/White after that. This Charmander in the video is now a black Charizard in my Black version.

@realTALAL299 You'll need a Nintendo DS or DS Lite. DSi won't work. Insert Your copy of FireRed into the Game Boy Advance slot on the DS and your 4th generation game in the DS slot. Load the DS game and at the main menu select "migrate from FireRed." You must have Pal Park unlock on Route 221 buy obtaining the National PokeDex and completing the game.

@realTALAL299 Once you transfer the Pokemon from FireRed they will appear in Pal Park and you'll be able to use Park balls (%100 catch rate) to capture them in your 4th generation game. Then transfer them to the 5th generation game with an additional DS (either DSi or not) and the download play function on the DS main menu (must complete the 5th generation game to unlock).

@dude12po I'm quite sure that a pokemon with a Japanese OT will evolve into the English form of its name when traded to an English game. I doubt it's hacked.

What is the Mesuda Method?

@mudfane1 The Mesuda Method is when you put an American Pokemon in the day care with a Japanese one. It increases your chances of hatching a shiny from the normal 1/8192 to 1/2048 (about 4x better odds). It is named after Game Freak director Junichi Masuda, who first documented the effect in a column of his. In my case my female charmander was American and the treeko was Japanese. You can get a foreign pokemon from the GTS in Jubilife City. Just look for the Japanese text :)

@TJTroubleMaker Keep at it! Charmander took a long time but since then I've hatched a shiny Dratini and Beldum. I've been going for Staryu for over 3 months now. Good luck!

@LgKRuba10 It doens't screw it up. You actually obtain the shiny when you obtain the egg from the old man (but you wont know if it's shiny until you hatch it). I'm currently going after a shiny shroomish too! Good luck!

i got 1 times a random shiny zubat.

after that i go to the place where zapdos whas.

a building :x.

and when i counter the zapdos it was shiny to!
