I sense some Eaglecrowowl inspiration there at the beginning.

The painting is technically great and I know the meaning is left to interpretation but as a mother, this almost makes me cry to look at it. It feels as though the parent has left the child- died and left him alone to fend for himself. Ahh breaks my heart.
