I love Johnny Cash but this makes me cringe. Its just wrong on so many levels. I know Dylan and Cash were friendly and admired each others work but this was not the tune to cover. Of course, that;s just my personal opinion. I have almost everything JC recorded with Sun, Columbia and Ameican Recordings and I can't stomach it.

They are just actors, not singers. Johnny Cash and June Carter are better than them, because they were the real people. Joaquin and Reece just played them. They clicked too, because that is what good actors do when they are doing a movie. Hopefully that is the goal anyways. Neither Joaquin or Reece ever sang professionally in their lives, except for in the Walk The Line movie. They acted for a living and still do, so how can an actor sing better than the artist.

Johnny Cash is nothing short of the best male country singer to ever walk the planet.

But if i'm honest, after listening to -

Joaquin Phoenix & Reese Witherspoon(walk the line) Version, I was very dissapointed in this song. Reese Witherspoon has an amazing voice, she is very talented she should do more with it. June Carter - medioca IMO.
