If you want your fingers to be straight, practice by putting it on a flat surface and moving it in different positions while still maintaining the straight look. Hard, but works. (For me at least)

Kind of depends. My fingers are double jointed so they naturally curve backwards (Yea, Kinda gross, I know) so it took me around... 3-6 weeks to get it down pretty good. Maybe it'll take you less, or more. I'm not sure if my double jointed fingers helped me or hurt me.
