I just compared this to James Durbin's Plant, Dio, Halford, and Bon Scott covers on Youtube, and he's at least an octave higher than Adam and more true to the cover. Either Adam is overrated or James is underrated, at least for artists in this range. I'm 52 and lived through this rock era, this did not sound good.
In my opinion, Mary J Blige's version of Whole Lotta Love is worse than this cover. Leather Angels, Ruzsa Magdi, Beth Hart, and the lead singer of the Cardigans were better.

i'm a huge zeppelin fan. when i saw this vid existed i thought it would be great to mock. i've never liked adam lambert and hate american idol. but, i must say this is a respectable cover. i definitely don't want to admit it. but it isn't bad. some poster on here said plant does it better because of life experiences. plant was 18 when asked to be in zep and this was done when he was about 19 or 20. plant was the vocal version of jimi hendrix. he won't ever be touched.
