quote from the games maker Bilal; "This artwork is meant to bring attention to the vulnerability of Iraqi citizens, to the travesties of the current war, and to expose racist generalizations and profiling. Similar games such as 'Quest for Saddam' or 'America's Army' promote stereotypical, singular perspectives. My artwork invests in these assumptions and ultimately demonstrates the vulnerability to recruitment by violent groups like Al Qaeda because of the U.S. occupation of Iraq."VirtualJihadi
This game was not created by al qaeda. It is a game mod created by Iraqi-born American artist Wafaa Bilal to emphasize the plight of Iraqi civilians during the American invasion and occupation. The player's avatar is Bilal himself.
Actually I just read a quasi-review of this game on Arstechnica and its supposedly not bad for a "propaganda" release video game. It might be fun to have a go at shooting a virtual bush.
What my point is, the amount of games I've seen where you are US special forces capturing the dictator of a third world country, surprises me that you would call this game terrorist. The only difference is that you aren't from the United States. You're not blowing the crap out of innocent civilians in a city centre in a beaten up Toyota loaded with explosives. Shooting at enemy combatants is called war. Your forces do it every day in Afghanistan. It's not terrorism.
Sorry, I fail to see this being terrorist. Sure it's Al-Qaeda, and Al-Qaeda are crazy people-bombing nutcases with no regard to any human's life including "fellow" Muslims. If you could call Al-Qaeda Muslims.
@saltandfinagar well, it might or might not be al-qaeda but its a fun game, i think of myself as a baathist rebel in this game seeing that its mostly in iraq
@koolkody12 its fun because you fight the invader, as well as take out an asshole. go ahead laff all you want, i dont like al-qaeda either (because they are against what i am for), and at the same time the US foreign policy is just as bad

This computer game appears to be designed, as an Al Qaeda propaganda tool, "a propaganda outlet for al Qaeda 3.0 and other wannabes."
The HotAir website has the full story. Search the site with: Video (game): "Night of Bush Capturing"
It's not the least bit hilarious. Anyone who finds this anti-American tool, created by our enemies, the least bit amusing, needs to have his/her head examined.
I find it amusing from a gamers standpoint that they're trying to use such a poorly made game to recruit people. Propaganda is a very very strict thing, this will never fly in the crowd that is gamers as a good game and thus it fails to hit it's target. An amusing effort at failure.
still looks better then battlefield 3 off the disc.

i would say the graphics leave something to be desired and the replay value is pretty low

Strangely, it doesn't bother anyone when EA or Activision make a propaganda game.

HOW many games is that? I knwo of lots of games where you play as us forces, but that sounds oddly spesific.

@saltandfinagar I agree with you completely, BUT -- this game was released with the intentions of fueling terrorism.

Si les terroristes sont aussi mauvais dans la vidéo dans leur façon de tirer, y'a pas de danger alors :)
On comprend pourquoi ils sont pas très bon aux fps telle que counter-strike et autres...

No matter your opinion on Bush it's so horrible to approve of, but yet from our perspective it's also too fucking hilarious NOT to approve.
