This demo and others by Kollias proves that fast is not best. Just sounds like someone bashing out as many beats as possible, no soul or feeling. To be honest he just sounds like a fucking machine. Much prefer to listen to drummers like Neil Peart, Mike Portnoy, Steve Gadd, Buddy Rich, Carl Palmer etc.

@nigelic I would like to state though the neil influence kollias directly or indirectly, Rush was the only prog rock/metal band at the time still trying to progress the sound and complexity of their music. So don't say someone sucks when they were the first to start a new style of music. Yes, nowadays Neil isn't the fastest or more complex drummer but he did originate a new style to drumming.

@Hertsman50 Its a different style of music, just because you may not care for it doesn't mean others don't enjoy it. And I feel alot of soul put into his music, I can feel how much time hes spent perfecting his abilities and he also has alot of complex patterns if you train yourself to hear everything he plays (which isn't that hard considering he mostly plays straight forward death metal beats and blasts at ridiculously fast tempos)

I'm sure this guys is talented, but this sounds like just hitting shit as fast as possible. It's to find hard any music/beat in all this racket. I'm not an old fuddy-duddy – I grew up on Simon Philips, Neil Peart and Mike Portnoy. Even other thrash guys like Charlie Benante, and Nick Menza that I like sounded better than this. This just lacks soul or feeling.

A lot of clinics have a camera behind the drummer, which feeds on to a large screen above them. So usually the audience does get a behind-kit view.
