@donniedarkodevotte Read "Frankenstein" and "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep." A lot of BSG comes from "BladeRunner."

@donniedarkodevotte No, not at all. You would miss a few fan-squee bits, but it would be interesting to watch this before the main story, like reading The Hobbit before Lord of the Rings without knowing that it's the One Ring :P

how could such a great series be canceled?!...because the unaducated north-american prefers a straight caracter who shots cylons in space rather than a suspanse/drama/filosofical dilema...; because the north-american is so agresively entangled and bleached in hyper-christianism hollowness, that it cant resonate with a future human civilization thriving on politheism or any other religion than theirs...or any other "functional" belief...

@rhatcher010, I agree with that. Caprica is great TV, I was surprised that violent side of the Cylons might come from Tamara instead of Zoe. I mean, if the Cylons adopot them as avatars in their creation of a way of life. Caprica's Holobands are the portable Matrixes of the franchise. I was wondering how likely it is for us to see them becoming real in the future both the Holobands & the Matrix.
