U must see my weaponary i have all guns all are loaded with 999 bullets i have all options with maximium amount all drugs and full yellow helathpoints bar and higl lvl high def high str high everyting. i finished this game at 8 years old and i had the Japanese version That means all dialoges in japanese text what i couldnt read lol love this game Btw check aleste 2 also from the msx. Thats a awesome game as well but this game is truely amazing for its time. I hope u post more of this!

(Funfact: The XBOX wasn't MS's first console...The MSX was! Well, the standard that all MSXs are based on, technically, not so much as the computers themselves).

yea the msx operating system was a version of microsoft dos the machines themselves were made by a fair few electronics companys e.g sony, toshiba etc

Interestingly enough, I believe this is considered the very first real rom translation of a Japanese game into English by a fan group known as Oasis back in 1993. I think they mentioned the dialogue was only about 65% completely translated which explains why alot of the text is so bad.

I LOVED Snatcher, but I really disliked the SD version for some reason... doesn't keep the same story and even it's own story is not presented very nicely...

However this is just my point of view...

Gillian is misspelled throughout the whole game (Gilian, with one L) like in 2:35

Still, it does feel odd to see the stars of my high school nightmares in SD, even lovable to a certain degree.

Guess I'll just have to watch the rest and see if a snatcher mini-me has as much teeth as the original.

Konami thanks for this great game. I played the japanese version, too bad I didn't understand anything of the texts back then. I hope they once will make a FPS version for PC for this game (console sucks for FPS, we need a mouse)
