Do not buy xfx. They put warranty stickers on the back of the card so you can't remove the noisy stock fan for a silent one. Also their poorly design on the 2 fan card, it doesn't cool a large amount of the memory and they will become +-105Celcius wich is unacceptable. The 2Fan cooler also has these stickers and xfx don't provide any kabels or software. Xfx just doesn't deserve all this attention. :/

Well, it is the fastest Corsair makes at this point. The plan is to have better performance than a "typical" gaming system on -all- fronts, so going with a GT-class versus a "vanilla" Force 3 is part of the equation.

Well, our plan is to build a machine matching the sheer awesomeness of the 7970 without overbuilding it. Upon completion of configuration validation and balance, these would be serially produced...making them our fastest mass-produced machines EVER. Until the next gen of hardware comes around, of course =)

Well I aint a fanboy of either side because its just immature... and cmon lets be honest... a bit gay. Like deep fisting gay. BUT... Nvidia drivers have alot of problems with black screening and shit not responding. Never had that problem with AMD. My 570 hasnt quit responding in a while now but it shudnt have done this in the first place, so I see Nvidia finally sorted it out after fucking months.... and yet all the Nvidia fanboys scream on about how AMD drivers suck? i guess it depends on your system and screen.

my 50 inch pioneer plasma screen hates the catelyst resolution settings.

i cant find any option for manual custom settings either.

and on the nvidea card ,all is detected and set automatic with a blink of the eye.

i cant get that done on a AMD card.

but i also build a PC for a friend ,he wanted a AMD card .

the card works,

but when he first boot up on a cold system. his screen is sometimes full of lines and squares,

OK here are some FACTS.

1. AMD/ATI drivers always sucked.

2. GTX 580 came out on the market in NOVEMBER 2010 and it's an old 40nm GPU. AMD just now made a new 28nm GPU that can compete with this OLD Nvidia card.

3.When Kepler comes out AMD will be back on the bottom where it belongs.
