How did you make it in 3.D???????

  • Is Multimedia Fusion 2 Developer better than Game Maker 8

  • How did you get those characters in there?

  • Con este montaje, me he dado cuenta de la gran calidad que tienen tus juegos. Sinceramente, me ha impresionado.

  • i loooove this program i create game by Multimedia Fusion 2 i on my way to be professional in this program

  • how did u get the 3d effect on the mario-kart game?

  • I wish I could make an impossible kirby game. Another thing though, how do you have screen scrolling?

  • 2:18 - I love the acceleration and deceleration of the animation. Awesome reel, man.

Dude, you just restored my desire to make video games... Time to crack open dusty old Dev C++ IDE. Haha. But I got too many things going on, unfortunately. I'm totally get back on programming after I release my album.

    BIG THANKS! Keep it up!

    X

  • Haha, thank you. =]

But, this video isn't all that great, I honestly prefer the choices in the 2009 vid. =D

It's a bit better put together and shows better footage. =P

    But I always appreciate comments!

  • E-man, what song is this?

  • Lol, it's "Motley Crue - Wild Side" =P

  • Where can I download your games?

  • I wish they were available for download. x[

Not a single one of them were ever finished, to tell the truth, except a few very small games.

  • @Paco19900 make them available? C:

  • hey what kirby game is that you're showing? it looks really good.

  • Haha, that's just a really old Kirby game. I never had real plans for it, I just wanted to make the game engine because I was curious as to see just how much effort it would take.

I would love to get back on the project and start adding abilities, if I only wasn't already burnt out on adding those animations. lol

  • hey can you that final fantasy mario style>?i will make my own game

i will try to make one called final faantasy style:The war of the elements

  • How Did You Make That 3D Mario Kart Game? I Have MMF2 Developer So Could You Make A Tutorial?

  • That just took a little fiddling with the Mode 7 extension. It's fairly complex if you are not familiar with it, but practice makes perfect. ;]

  • :O A near perfect Kirby engine? NO WAI

I THOUGHT THEY ONLY EXISTED IN LEGENDS

  • Haha, I don't think of it is "near perfect', because there are still a number of flaws, but those only happened due to my lack of knowledge in mathematical equations of distance, angle, and comparing the closest object.

But nowadays, I'm more than capable of performing such things. =]

  • Hot damn, if I was good as you at programmin on MMF, I would have released the first world demo on MFGG.

  • Thankies. =]

But I easily become distracted with the projects I'm working on. Halfway through a project, I'll find something else I want to try, and I end up making a project out of that. That's resulted in 50 unfinished game engines. xD

  • Haha, wow. I thought I was the only one that ever happened to.

    X

  • kirby :)

  • can ya make a tutorial for platforming games

  • COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! Can you help me with games of mario?

  • hey can anyone tell me of a good animator? because I hate the one mmf2 provides. Can i make the animation in the animator and import it to mmf2? random question but i'm a noob to this program.

  • These are all good! Your Warioware one looks amazing!

  • Wow, I Just Started MMF2 and i suck. To me, your a legend.

  • And your Mario Bros. RPG is really making me want to keep at it and go. XD

I am making an RPG like that. I dunno who my characters should be. any ideas?

  • Thanks for the comments, sir!

But RPGs can be a bit complex, with all those values and whatnot.

But if you really need help, you should stop by Martin2K and check out the forums. Myself, along with many others are always glad to lend a hand.

  • Well, i decided not to make an RPG and to make....SUPER MARIO BROS. 4! :)

I asked some people some questions. but how do i add a custom life bar? and points, etc etc. like a powerup bar that has everything on it. is it possible?

  • Eric, you're such a legend at MMF.

  • Thankies, bud.

But I still can't design levels worth a damn.

  • And is there an extension for full 3D in MMF yet? Like in Jamagic (whatever happened to that, too many bugs?)

  • I'm afraid there is no full 3D in MMF, not even MMF2 handles it.

The closest thing to that is just using Mode7 to create a 3D backdrop like for Mario Kart, but perhaps you could resize sprites in combination with the Mode7 to create a really basic Doom style game, you know?

  • Do you know if it is possible to use a command like "InStr(string$, expr)" in BASIC for MMF? It looks for a String within a String (String.matches"(?).*expr.*" in Java)? Any way I can do this?

  • Frankly, I'm not sure.

There are a LOT of extensions out there, and I'm sure a few of them could search strings for certain words and such.

I'm not sure what language MMF uses for the code intensive bits.

I use bits like getRGB(36,74) and x top ("Active Object")

  • E-Man your work here is incredible mate!

  • There's only one fella I know by that name! lol

    Alex, you trickster. XD

Glad you like the video, man!

  • How did u get mode7 working in MMF? I guess some kind of plugin you can download? Sry, relatively new to MMF. +Same prob as you I need a graphics designer! x

  • Well, I was just ignorant to do pixel work before, but I've gotten quite used to it now, so there's no obstacle there anymore. =D

And yes, Mode 7 is an extension you can use right with MMF, it even comes with examples if you get the one from Clickteam's extension list. It is a tad advanced though.

    Good luck!

  • nice programming, but the pixel art isn't proffesional, but hey, its not rubbish, i like it.

  • Thanks.

I know a lot of the graphics are a little "meh", but a lot of those things, except for Kirby and Flug the Slug, are in early development, and I prefer to put more effort into engine work, before I really work on the time-consuming graphics.

  • How do you make mario collide with objects on the Mario Kart game?

  • None of them are finished yet, sadly, I'm just far too busy with things to keep up with these, but that doesn't mean I won't keep trying.

And for the Mario Kart game, it's a bit difficult to explain, but simply I won't be using the "fake 3-D" to test for collisions, I'll use another layer to test for that and emulate it on the Mode7 (fake 3-d) backdrop.

  • Those look cool. Did you finish any of them?

  • What program did you use?

  • Kirby?

    Want. Please.

  • Can you give me a link to the mario game?

  • I mean the one with mario had to hit the blocks to destroy the big goomba.

  • Honestly, I've never actually finished that project. I was so unsatisfied with the progress that I scrapped it. But these days I've been wanting to redo it, so you may be in luck.

  • That doesnet matter. can you teach me how to make a mario game with what ever you used via pm me

  • and or sonic game?

  • Screw the Mario game!!! The slug game looks wicked! Dang can't believe how much knowledge you have of Multimedia Fusion man. Have you ever done anything proffessional?

  • Lmao, glad you like it. One of these days I'll actually finish it.

I've never done anything professional, just whatever I can during some free time.

  • any chance of u putting your kirby engine online ? : )

  • You're one of the best people I know at using this program E-laaa <3

    hoj

  • Incredble work!

  • Lovin' it, E. There are a few there I don't think I've played yet.
