@mclarenzbender2 The Japanese cars have to fallow the same regulations as the American cars. Actually the reason why Japanese cars became so popular was due to there quality and fuel efficiency. The reason why they were good cars was due too an American named Dr. W. Edwards Deming who educated the Japanese on how to build quality cars. He first tried to show the big three how to build good cars and they didn't listen so he went to japan.

@epiphone112689 Yes, but American were content with the quality of their cars until horsepower and safety issues came into play. That is why Japanese cars were successful. Anyone would have horsepower over quality, but ofcourse if you take away horsepower, quality is the only big thing left. Also Deming came back and helped Ford later behind closed doors at first with Don Peterson. In the 1960s, the majority of population of the US was ppl of age 30 and under. Do you think an 18 yr old in 1966..

Dont get offended, because I understand Nader has done some good things, but overall he rode the safety horse just to get attention and its sad that politicians do that ish. I also understand the quality of cars, but ppl fail to understand that the level of quality in brands even such as Mercedes varies up and down over the yrs and is rarely consistent. GM V8s are bulletproof

Many southerners were and still are sympathetic towards blacks. We grew up with them, they are our neighbors; unlike in the North, where they're treated like strangers. To respond to your statements/questions in order:
Rednecks don't share the same beliefs. There are many brands of Christianity, along with many who are agnostics. One should remember that it is a subculture, so people appear similar, even though it would be foolish to assume that each one shares the same beliefs.
We join the MILITARY (not just the Army, dumbass) because we want to protect what is ours, namely our land and our families, both which reside in the United States.

And how exactly do you know this? You live in the UK, not the US. Rednecks do indeed value individualism; they tend to not appreciate other people telling them how to live their lives. To serve in the military while being skeptical of the government is not hypocrisy, my friend. We are indeed skeptical of our own government, though we're far more attached to it than other governments that tax the hell out of its people and have corrupt parliaments (such as the UK). I don't follow US politics that closely but theres more of a culture of it in the US. the idea that someone who even try and sell an empty elected position as what happened in illinois is unheard of in this country. What matters are the fundamental institutions....the system. How advanced this 'game' is. Not the lifespan of politicians, which is obviously more or less the same everywhere (extreme exclusions - war zones and so on, but those don't count). About "getting away with it"....well....once again, I do believe it is naive to say you know what goes on beneath the surface. And I think there is a lot in the UK, but less obvious and more discreet.
