Brilliant song (never heard of it) ! Similar, powerful and brilliant, riff can be found at another legendary group: West, Bruce, & Laing - Play With Fire (Live). I wonder if would be correct to call this sound "heavy metal blues" ( a stile most probably invented by Hendrix and "Here my train at comin'" being the perfect example).
Great song by a great band. I can remember listening to this on an album along with various artists back in the late 60's or early 70's. Thanks for the wonderful memories
these guys probably didn't sell well in scandinavia, I have never seen their albums in the record stores. too bad, they´re a good band. Is anybody willing to sell vinyl copies of their stuff??
There's a famous story about this. They made their best album, Choice Cuts, in the UK at Abbey Road. They then returned to Australian, where they found that the album was getting really good reviews in the British music press. So they jumped on the BOAT to England. By the time they got back, everyone had forgotten about Choice Cuts. If they'd been able to afford to fly, history might have been very different.
Really awesome, but If you can, listen to the Nickelodeon CD, it features 2, in my opinion, "better than the studio versions" ive Versions from "Future Of Our Nation" and "Because I Love You" and an 20 minute killer version from The Troggs song "Evil Woman
I was lucky enough to get the Nickelodeon CD a few years ago for $22 (used), it's almost impossible to find because it was discontinued. The original vinyl LP brings $500- $750 if you're lucky to find it. Nickelodeon is an insane rare LP.
I certainly hear you there, I am actually discovering music nearly every day from other countries throughout the decades thanks to you tube and people who share their long lost vids.
Had the same. That had some other good stuff two. The version of 'Future' on that was live at Sydney's Horden Pavillion, & has a better solo. Was the live album ever released?
Man - this band was doing metal before it was invented!

This track has a really threatening tone to it. It reminds me of the track "People, Let's Stop The War" by Grand Funk Railroad.

Classic lineup and a classic song. Thanks for posting.
As a schoolboy at the time, and possessing typical schoolboy humour, we had joke lyrics for this song:-
"there is no time for masturbation, what is the future of our nation"
Oh well, it sounded funny at the time..
