  • Batteries WEIGH too too much. Batteries $COST$ too much. WAY TOO MUCH!

Not in our lifetimes will batteries achieve the cost/weight/performance requirements for practical general aviation. Nice dream though. But we can take heart that they've almost perfected the diesel-electric typewriter--keep those hopes high!

  • @ThatMiserableCat yup, let's roll over and die

  • Private travel. The important "impact statement" phrase.

  • 2:45 "Goldshmede" (spelling)?

    whats thats?

  • I agree with hogey74-this rush of innovation reminds me of the early days of flight, when there was a lot of experimentation with new ideas and a lot of trial and error. We'll learn what can work, what does work, and we'll also know what doesn't work (at least for now). I know I might want an electric bird in my hangar, once all the bugs are worked out...

  • This is great to see. Batteries and motors will improve out of sight in the next 10 to 20 years I am sure, especially with the help of initiatives like this. The packaging options allowed by electric flight have yet to be fully explored - I wonder what designs we will see? The NASA puffin concept is an example - might be a little fanciful but it will inspire others.

  • hello the only way is creating a small reactor,Good speed

  • Dear All,

I have some questions about psychology:

    (1) Why do we love flying and building new aeroplane?

    (2) Why do we like to flying electric aeroplane?

    (3) How does the sensation (physically and emotionally) of flying electric aeroplane fifferent from that of kerosene jet?

THANK YOU IN ADAVNCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

  • Great video!

  • First to watch and first to comment : DDDD

  • @Petsku333 You didn't comment, others just saw your immaturity. You said nothing about the content of the video.

It is interesting to see the possibility and potential usage of different methods of propulsion for private aircraft, in the near future.
