Grande epoca....onde uma musica,um olhar, uma palavra ou um simples gesto, realmente significava alguma coisa real,sólida, sonhadora, magica e verdadeira....gostaria de poder ter vivido essa epoca....saudades da ZAZA..................
This is a great film, but I can't see or hear this scene without think of the Naked Gun 2 1/2 version of it, when the guy does the piano intro then, in a falsetto voice sings, "Ding dong, the witch is dead, witch old witch, wicked witch..."
The time that goes away, leaving wrinkles on our face and each of them remains indelibly, not make us old, no, it's only to give way to those who watch, read in our past, good or bad has been , our faces never lie ...
@MATATONORTIZ For sure, Casablanca is my favorite. However, I've never been as big of a fan of Citizen Kane as most moviegoers are. I would probably say North by Northwest is my second favorite! That movie is legit.
In my humble opinion Casablanca is the best movie ever made. It has everything, I'm not going to be mundane and go into a big list, but the movie has no weaknesses. Just a great story, with a brilliant cast, splendid dramatic acting tinged with the right amount of wry humor. This movie will never be duplicated in any way.
Ya, I agree with u, there are some very good movies today. Not as many that go as in depth as some of the famous classics, but there are. And yes, there are bad movies from every time, but u don't ever hear about the ones from a long time ago, so people can in a sense get the impression that all old movies are good, cuz the good ones are all they ever play. I'd have to say that my favorite movie of all time tho, is "Its a Wonderful Life". Those kind of movies are just more rare it seems today
@dylanholman3 I think the great classic movie of Casablanca will never be come out again twice.
Because it can never be replaced in this present world. The best movie creators in this world will never create like this kind of movie again, never...
I'm 14, and I love the old movies like Casalanca. The movies and music today has no meaning, no structure, no soul. Our actors today aren't as great as they were either. I just wish people would take it more serious and want something that means something, not cheap laughs and vulgarity
@dylanholman3 Firstly, your age doesn't mean much; if anything it means that you want to make yourself appear smart. Besides that, there's a certain inherent nostalgia for old things. The reason for this is that old songs, movies, etc are a classic because they're good. Usually, we forget about the crap from the past. Furthermore, there's some good movies nowadays, you just have to sift through a lot of rubbish to get to the good stuff. Please don't be offended by this post though..
@dylanholman3 i tend to agree with Miryr. That said, "Casablanca", 1943, is one of my 6 favorite films of all time. Two others "It's a Wonderful Life", 1946, "The Wizard of Oz", 1939, were from the classic period you favor, but three were from a much more recent time: "The Godfather", 1972, "Trading Places", 1984, "Animal House", 1979. And there is no question which three films are classier, but why not enjoy the best of all worlds? And by the way, there were MANY hideous films back then!
@utmobbad I disagree. I think that it's fair to say that any two voices can be subjectively evaluated. If I like Dooley's voice better, then I can say that it's better. Obviously, it's a matter of opinion, but that should go without saying.
Everyone remembers the line as "Play it again, Sam," thanks to Woody Allen. In one of his books he said, "I know he (Bogart) never said it. But I would say it so much everyone would think he did.
You must remember this A kiss is still a kiss A sigh is just a sigh The fundamental things apply As time goes by And when two lovers woo they still say "I love you" On that you can rely No matter what the future bringsAs time goes by Moonlight and love songs never out of date Hearts full of passion jealousy and hate Woman needs man And man must have his mate That no one can deny It's still the same old story The fight for love and glory A case of do or die The world will always welcome lovers
@Kakarot21591 ...Why did you HAVE to let her go? Did you have a good reason to end the relationship?
Making the right decisions can be painful but, they serve a purpose which at first is not apparent. Maybe, you were too dependent upon her and therefore, the pain. So, the problem is not losing her, but your dependence issues. So, losing her, provides you with a "mirror" into your own soul which shows you how needy you are and now, you can take steps to realize, your strength is from within.
They had a screening of this on the big screen with a full orchestra in my hometown, in fact the only two cities in the country to have it screened were a little town in georgia and my town i felt so lucky...BUT the day of the screening I FUCKIN FOTGOT all about it...I hate myself now...it would have been amazing... : C <-----mega frown
You must remember this A kiss is just a kiss, a sigh is just a sigh. The fundamental things apply As time goes by. And when two lovers woo They still say, "I love you." On that you can rely No matter what the future brings As time goes by. Moonlight and love songs Never out of date. Hearts full of passion Jealousy and hate.
