The controls are pretty different from most other fighting games, especially for the charge input characters. Thankfully, there are plenty of youtube tutorials to help new players learn the fighting mechanics.
@MortalKombat313 The combos are harder in street fighter because you can't "dial" them (for most characters) like in Mortal Kombat or Marvel vs Capcom or Street Fighter x Tekken. I'd definitely recommend getting it though

@ProSniper632 normally just any controller really. i don't play this game but i do play mortal kombat. but if u haven't tried it, it's much easier to use the d-pad than anything else, but it might also take some time to get used to.

they need to implement a simple less flashy ultra system, which uses these kinda moves. example, Street fighter 3rd strike did a kick ass job, and looks amazing even till today. the ultras take away from the game play in SF4
my fav was street fighter 2. i think all these ultra combos and special moves suck they are hard to pull off anyway. you just end up mashing all the buttons in the end

Hey is anyone else getting a blank screen when trying to boot up Super Street Fighter IV? My PS3 plays all other games, but I can't play SSF4 anymore. When I first bought it (used) it worked fine, and it worked fine on my friends PS3 as well. I hadn't played my PS3 in a few days and just recently tried to play it again, and for some reason every time I start the game from the XMB it just goes to a blank screen and does nothing. The console doesn't freeze, the game just doesn't do anything.

Ultra's really aren't that hard once you get them down.

@SefirothPH I know some people like the dubs better (cof * cof * americans * cof * cof). But why must all Europe have no choice but to settle with the dub version? Most european countries don't even have english has a primary language.
Why don't they just make an option to support both languages? Personally what I think it is retarded is having to listen to an aweful dub specially since I'm more used to reading subs (in my country rarely dub anything except for kid shows).

Street Fighter has transcended into a universal video game that spans across the world and takes place in many countries not just one. If Street fighter is so universal why not place do the respective primary language of each country? Like Punch Out did.

It really disturbs me when people rather listen to a language they can't understand rather than a language they know. I personally didn't find any of the english voice overs "forced" and if that is indeed the case. How do you distinguish a forced Japanese voice over when you can't even understand the language?

@Simko084 Yes, and an educated guess at that. I simply put all the facts together since he didn't have the natural common sense to specify exactly which country in Europe he was from. He typed in english extremely well give or take a few spelling and grammatical errors. To be able to recite internet slang that is most prominent in the U.K. and U.S. made it even more likely that he was from the U.K. Statistics point towards him living in the U.K. Point being, his native language isn't Japanese.

@untseac Actually, there is a option in the game that lets you choose what language each individual characters speaks (English or Japanese). I actually gave all the 'non-american' characters japanese voices. sounds more realistic.

And BTW Portuguese (from Europe) has one of the richest vowel phonologies of all Romance languages. That's why it is easy for us to mimic and understand other languages.

Hey is anyone else getting a blank screen when trying to boot up Super Street Fighter IV? My PS3 plays all other games, but I can't play SSF4 anymore. When I first bought it (used) it worked fine, and it worked fine on my friends PS3 as well. I hadn't played my PS3 in a few days and just recently tried to play it again, and for some reason every time I start the game from the XMB it just goes to a blank screen and does nothing. The console doesn't freeze, the game just doesn't do anything.
