@LiangRome I think he uses it as both a place for better acoustics and as a place for musical expression. He walks away from the mic to not only prevent it from being overloaded but to vary the dynamics and reverb a bit; it's both technical and musical.

Why does his voice sound different than the pokemon theme song? In the pokemon theme he sounds like Michael Jackson. I think he captures the emotional sound but perhaps kid's parents would be offended to hear him curse. I'm not really offended that much by profanity though because I'm not a parent.
