@megaluisdeth I'm sure by now there are some great resources about recording with this device. But to get started is not too hard. You should install the recording software it comes with (I assume Cubase LE 4 CD rom, though that was back when I got it). This is a bit of a pain to do, but if you have trouble go to the Steinberg website, I think you need to create an account there anyway.
Attach rp500 via usb cable to your computer. Go to "devices" and choose RP500, and you're set to record
i love your work! well done! i have an rp350. can you tell me what amp, cabinet and effects are you using for this offspring's classic tone? thank you.
thanks. I think it was: on the RP500 I used the Digitech High Gain amp, Digitech Alt4x12 cabinet model, Ibanez Tube Screamer, Multichorus, Digital delay, and Lexicon "Studio" Reverb. My focus was not really an Offspring tone (as i use the same settings for other things), but maybe it ended up sounding similar.
Nice stuff. I've got a question: do you use any extra audio interface or is it just the RP 500? If so, is there any problem with overlaying tracks with it? That is can you playback 1 track while recording the other with the RP?
yeah all though the RP500 as an interface, though it's not really meant for vocals and drums (through midi from keyboard). you can playback as many tracks as you probably need while recording more
hey men amazin video can you help me? , look i did everything that the manual says but when i connect tehe rp 500 to the pc nothing sound. i did EVERYTHING but nothin happens, also when im recording i can see the bar that should you that you aer recording but i cant hear any sound please help me xD please give me your email or post a comment please i dont know what to do xD
man when u import it to cubase use a vst like toontrack drum, if u wanna have a real drum sound, i have a rp500 too, i already record a few songs from symphony x, paramore and stuff, but i dont have the balls to sing hahaha. anyway im gonna see if i can post a video with some song, so u can hear the drums, and hear it, anyhow great videos man, see u around.. offspring rulz!!!!
no. I do midi drum tracks on Guitar Pro 5 and import to Cubase project. That or plug a keyboard into the 1/4" input of the RP500 to record midi, and then use Cubase's virtual instruments to choose the exact drum kit I want.
Hey can you help me out? I got the Rp 500 but I don't know anything about recording and such. Can you tell me how to set it up for recording?
