  • aww you forgot the crap book "rites of odin" author Ed Fitch.. absolute crap.. lol :)

  • @heathenmomma I so did, bad on my part because i totally just recalled talking about this guy not too long ago

  • @loumil4 It's all good :) But if you want to get a nice paper weight for around 15 bucks or so.. it's worth it.. lol :D

  • I often suggest Sweyn Plowright. He was a member of the Rune Gild, and now leads the Rune Net out of Australia.

  • @HrafnNordhri ...than I have most likely seen the name; just do not recall.

  • Put a gematria list of old norse or germanic words together using futhark it will tell you more than any modern author that with the use of the mythology and lore.I know modern authors like thorson say it was not traditional. But even he admits the eddas from Iceland have evidence of gematria use I would suggest all of the cultures that have a runic script or some sort of alphabet with a traditional order that practiced high poetry and story telling used it just check the values of god names

  • Thanks for all the info Lou! I recently looked into Ralph Bloom's books and I can't stand them whatsoever. I am currently checking out various other authors for information on the runes as it has become an imporant part of my "practice" as a Heathen. Thanks again for your suggestions.

    Wotan be with you!

  • Also Völsunga saga.

  • I don't want to alarm you but someone else is in your cave. Get the shotgun and turn around slowly. You don't want to spook it.
