  • Uplifting is not word that has found its' way into my vocabulary, very often, during my 64 years upon this earth and, lately, I'll found myself becoming much more cynical that I would have ever previously imagined. But Judith & The Boys have been a part of my musical listening life for almost a half century and this song, discovered now, is powerful & uplifting. You can't go wrong with The Seekers.

  • another winner from the NO1 girl.xxx

  • That's why this world is such a mess. Too many people claiming that piece of sky!!!

  • If you don't feel uplifted after this wonderful song, you might want to check for a pulse. And Judith's smile could melt an iceberg :0)

  • what a song very uplifting if your feeling down you wont find a group of four people to sing like this again these four are just fantastic

  • Super Version.

    Seekers Splendid.

  • Judith wearing black leather as almost a sin. Not quite, just almost.

  • @PrezBarkORama sorry shes mine i saw her first

  • I wasn't a big fan of The Seekers back in the '60's, but I should've been. While cruising some of their music, I found this one. I take my faith seriously, but I sometimes forget that I can't handle everything on my own. This song reminds me that I don't need to. Thanks to The Seekers...they are a fantastic group and worthy of much more praise and recognition than they've received. Incredible talents, all.

  • Sounds like Dixieland jazz in that last instrumental.

  • When I was in Brisbane in May, I bought at JB Hi-Fi (kind of like an Aussie Best Buy) a single DVD with the "Making of Future Road" combined with the '93 25th Reunion Concert." You better buy your copy of this excellence while you can on Amazon.com or the like. Blessed to have seen The Seekers with Andre Rieu...I will never forget it--beautiful experience!

  • The internet is fabulous, I approached a group as beautiful as the Seekers. I've heard hundreds of times their songs! They are beautiful ......I am brazilian but I wish I could meet them!

God bless them and their families

  • love it- come on over to America!

  • love it

  • It's a pity there's not more of this type of music now rather than this crap we have forced on us. I have been to a show of theirs and it's non stop toe tapping from start to finish. Thanks for posting.

  • Judith could sing Hansard and we would listen. By the way I love Rock n Roll but can't argue with REAL talent.

  • Judith with a tambourine. Keith with the 12 string. Timeless, boundless, magic.

  • True! Thankyou!!

  • I did not no that she still alive. I wonder why we do not see her any-more!!

  • @queeny107 Very much alive and producing fabulous art. And this May 2011, Judith and the Boys (Athol, Keith and Bruce)--The Seekers will be touring Australia in concert.

  • @iowa61 - Thanks!!

  • @iowa61 You for real??? Will they be heading into regional Australia???

  • @huppypuppy I kid you not. Judith and The Boys will be touring with Andre Rieu in less than a month across Oz.

You can see snippets from their rehearsals here on youtube. Can't keep this incredible group down...

  • Too bad we hardly see Judith with her piano. As i recall her Music degree was in Piano.

  • These talents did Rick Springfield VERY proud!

  • @mmmboots9 I wish that Judith and Rick did a duet version of this song. There is a mandolin on this track as well as a piano, but no mandolin is on the video and a black and white clip of Judith playing the piano is shown.

  • I've made a compilation of The Seekers gospel/spiritual recordings over the years....don't seem to be able to post, but if you're interested let me know...

  • Any man who does not get a crush on this wonderful, warm, beautiful woman with the voice of an angel is dead and/or blind, and/or deaf. And the guys are a PERFECT band that compliments her PERFECT voice. Every song they perform is PERFECT. I fell in love with her voice in the 60's and felt like a 16 year old with a crush when I first saw her on youtube... what a lovable cutie-pie who's goodness is clearly evident.. If every man had a Judith war would be obsolete.

  • @RayPosh1 Just found your note... man, I thought I was alone. This is one heck of a group and one heck of a Judith. So much talent, so much charm, so much.... damn, if I could find one just like her might even consider getting married again. She is utterly beautiful, even now, having just celebrated her mid - 60s birthday. Have loved this group for sooo many years.

  • @jbarfuzzface I know it's crazy to say but I wouldn't just consider marriage... I'd marry her in a heartbeat... just one of two women who I'd do that for and I don't even really know Judith but there's just something about that woman that is very special

  • after watching the grainy black and white videos of the seekers, its nice to see them in a much sharper color film. judith will be in her 90's and still sound great.... great post

  • thank you for the info. It would be hard for me I live in the U.S

  • where did you see this album?

  • just great

  • This is beyond awesome! How amazing that Rick's very first solo hit has been covered after all that time. Beautiful.

  • Thanks for sending...

    God bless

  • I'm in love with this marvelous woman!

  • So who recorded this first, The Seekers or Rick Springfield?

  • Rick Springfield I think.

  • Rick Springfield

  • @cwize Rick Springfield wrote the song in the 70's about his sick father who eventually died in 1981.

  • I'm not a religious man, but I have always loved The Seekers' music; they have a wonderful message. In a world where the media loves showing people doing evil in God's name, it's easy to forget that there is a message of love, hope, and compassion at the heart of all beliefs.

The Seekers are the kind of people that remind us that the world can be a beautiful place, no matter what you believe.

  • @Aesahaettr64 is Future Road an album?.

  • @Aesahaettr64 judith durham's not a christian anyway

  • It certainly has that sort of blues/jazz vibe - the ragtime piano really suits it (Judith being a talented pianist). AFAIK (but not sue) Rick Springfield sang this first, it came out in the US in 1972.

  • Rick Springfield actually wrote this song :-)

  • Thanks for sending this to me..It gives me hope and I will look up!!!I have never heard of them before.

  • I don't believe in God, but what a lovely, positive vibe The Seekers have with their lovely songs like this.

  • What a wonderful, positive, spiritual vibe they create! I love The Seekers, especially Judith. What a presence! What a voice! What a smile! She makes me melt into a little puddle of love.

  • I'm in love!

  • Uncanny. They were legends. Long gone and then came back better than ever...

  • Glad to see this one back....What a super group. They have a unique sound that cannot be matched. They all compliment each other. To like every song they do speaks for their talent and balance. Just a fabulous group with a fabulous sound.. of clean cut music.. and what makes there music even more enjoyable is that they were "into" and "lived" the music they sang and you can see it in the way they presented it to us... they enjoyed what they were doing while making us happy.. what else can I say

  • thanks to Dazbluey for this and the others he has brought back.
