how do u get the 2 kicks sound good together ?

1. Choose two kicks In first search for bottom end and second should have nice higher frequencies. Filter cutoff in first for example First "subby" kick >200 Second "clicky" kick <200 But don't think that it is a rule. Always experiment with blending frequencies you can increase attack of subby kick somewhere between 5ms-30ms should sound right

2. If you want all frequency spectrum in both sounds you need to watch out for pitch of each sound and they should be in-phase

and compression to blend

No I've got a lot of drum kits. Type "producers kit" or "filthy drums" in google and find download link. You should try to layer 2-3 snares 2-4 hihats,shakers,tambourines etc., 2 kicks. But you need to choose samples that will have different frequencies or cut them with EQ. For example Pick a rimshot + clap + snare with a lot of low-mid frequency and tambourine. You should get some nice snares with layering. But don't layer similar sounds.

you need to update your firmware if you want to change MMC button to normal midi CC message. After updating firmware push any of MMC button and pres EDIT on MPD and change it.

Ableton is good for everything . I also make other stuff like drum & bass, some experimental music, minimal etc. You should buy Akai MPK25. It has everything you will need in produdction. Nice pads, knobs, keys, note repeat and arpeggio functions. I want to sell axiom25 and mpd24 and buy MPK25.
