Even the "white" iraqis are pretty black skinned. The first "white" iraqi they showed at 1:33, looks sort of like Richard Pryor! Arabs in the Gulf countries should be considered Black. I specifically say the Gulf Arab countries, because Arabs in North Africa and the Levant, do not look black (some of them even look white). This makes sense, because North Africans and Levantines are more mixed.

I'm Iraqi and I've never seen a black Iraqi before. If there are really 2 million black Iraqis in Iraq then surely I should have seen at least a thousand by now - but I haven't seen even one.
I think there are only about ~50,000 blacks or so, and they're all located in the southernmost city of Basra.

It is just a shame that there are only a handful of people in the world that have knowledge of this information and can discuss it with references. Nationalism and modern poitics including hatred against so called "Arabs" has made it harder to get this info out and recognized for its relevance. All Arab tribes at one point have been called akhdar or black in the texts, just as the Berbers had been!

These people adopted the early dialects of the blacks of the Eridu and later Akkadian cultures. There also have always been more than one black group occupying Mesopotamia. The Khafaja/Ka'bMuntafiq groups of Iraq are the people of Numayr ibn Kassit pure Semites in an anthropological senssei.e. black or early Arabians. There are also descendants of early Zanj from Africa.

@math7science - Early Arab and those of teh Israelites make the children of Shem black. See the Pirqe de Rabbi Elizear of the 1st century and the Arab writers. In reality Shem Ham adn Japhet are originally only allegorical references to teh early black ARab people who headed north in the middle of the 2nd millenium. There are no people mentioned in Genesis that were actually other than these. Its the Iranic people who made ham the only black and cursed one.

Kush populated Ethiopia, Mizraim populated Egypt,Punt populated Arabia and Canaan populated other parts of the middle east. Ancient Arabs were black men from Africa being grandchildren of Ham. Even the lady narrating this video speaks of the blacks in Iiraq as Zanj only . When the Arab press has said most of them are in fact descendants of the Ka'b or Qays Ailan pure Arab settlers who left Central Arabia or Nejd in the 10th century A.D. .

@math7science - other branches of the Qays were the Kinanah, Sulaym and Hawazin bin Mansur of Medina Hijaz and the el-Harra/ Harrah always described as black. Like when Jahiz 9th c. Iraqi describes them "black" and as the color of lava of el Harra. I don't know how history got so messed up that early Arabians got written out of the history of the Arabs. Ibn Athir a Kurd 11th century also said the Sulaym were so very black because they belonged to the pure Arabs. lol!

Robertson Smith in Kinship and Marriage in Early Arabia refers to “the important tribe of ‘Amir ibn Sa’sa’a, a branch of the great confederation called Hawazin,” as people “which corresponded to the modern ‘Otaiba.” Of the Hijazi Otaiba (Ateyba, Ateiyibeh) a century ago by James Hamilton, “they wore their hair in long curly plaits” and their skin was “dark brown”.
