DC & Marvel went to court over that, I think, over 30 years ago.

Basically, both publishers can use the name "Captain Marvel" but, only Marvel can have an actual comic book titled "Captain Marvel", DC isn't allowed.

That's why whenever DC, in the past, gave their Captain Marvel his own book, it's always titled "Shazam" or "Power of Shazam" or something to like that.

That's true: Doom did have prior opportunities to kill MLF. However, he needed to learn every one of her black arts magicks before he killing her off. Then again, Doom proudly enjoys toying around with his foes (which is probably why Reed Richards is still alive after how many years).

Who said this title doesn't sell more than its share of copies, with or without a Sentry decapitation? Heck, there are already third printings of DA #1 out. So the Fanboys are definitely loving "that shit".

Well Tony is just a man in a suit and Osborn already gained access to the Iron Man designs and is a genius. Spiderman has already had at least 3 people copy his style with the Scarlet Spiders in Avengers Initiative. It would be easy for Osborn to create or find heroes and villains with similar powersets to disguise who they are to the public. Really, only Noh-Var, Sentry, and Ares are the genuine articles.
