During WWII, the German treated their RAF POWs much better than the Jap did with the American bomber pilot POWs. No wonder RAF POWS were joking. No shit! Unlucky American bomber pilot POWs got their heads chopped off in public by the Jap with a Samarei sword.

@locsaretheshit The Cold War is a complex political matter. It is important to know that the Americans and the British never really liked the Russians ever since the communist revolution in 1917. They just kind of chose Russia as their ally in World War 2 as the lesser of two evils. Heck as you should know, the reason we went to war in the first place is because Germany invaded Poland. When at the same time, the Soviet Union invaded Poland also. Hitler and Stalin made an agreement to split it.

I do agree that history should be taught more these days, everyone should have a decent understanding of basic world history in the last century and the history of their own country.

Heck, did you know WInston Churchill wanted to attack Russia right after the Germans surrendered and start another war? Certainly a terrible idea on his part, but most proud Britain don't like to say it because it makes their hero look bad. (tho don't get me wrong he is a hero for the most part).
