Back in day when I first heard sublime, it was the first time that I actually 'heard' the drums in a song. Before that I would just hear the all the music as one sound and the singer separate. But Sublime was different, the drums just popped out at me and I thought they were so sweet that I had to learn how to play that. So I just played along with the CD probably 5,500 times and counting; thats how I learned.

Its all in the wrist. I just watched videos of Bud and Marshall from Sublime and tried my best to copy. It took some time to get the shuffle, but in time I could do it. I'm far from perfect, but I'm still learning.

well, that recording is Field Marshall and he rarely toured with Sublime; so chances are slim that they have video of this. I don't even think I've heard a live recording of this song. Kind of just a dub song, probably never played it live.

Bud Gaugh is one of my favorite drummers, although right up there with him is Field Marshall Goodman, who I believe is the one who recorded this track; I think this was recorded when Bud was in rehab. Both great drummers though.
