  • so do I ... hahahahahaha - Marshall Goodman is amazing!

  • i would love to start a sublime cover band with you not even to make a profit just to show people the best musicians ive ever heard and have fun.

  • ?????BADFISH?????

    OR

    SOUTH SIDE DUB

  • I actually have sat in on drums for LBC a few times - although I just found out that Sublime crew doesn't like them very much cuz of some copyright stuff

  • yeah we are over that copyright bud fixed it

  • I love getting off work and raging this shit off my back deck

  • nice drumming and way to go with the audio/recording quality man, drums are hard to record but this sounds really good and balanced with the music and stuff!

  • i finally got to check this video out, fucking on point man, if you get the time or budget to mic your kit one day that shit would sound amazing

  • damn amigo

you are a boss, no joke

    keep it up bro

  • i love this kids swanger man im lost fo words mang

  • you studing drums at school or have pure tallent, you are a good drummer, peace !!!

  • Back in day when I first heard sublime, it was the first time that I actually 'heard' the drums in a song. Before that I would just hear the all the music as one sound and the singer separate. But Sublime was different, the drums just popped out at me and I thought they were so sweet that I had to learn how to play that. So I just played along with the CD probably 5,500 times and counting; thats how I learned.

  • no way me to

  • word to bad i work all the time and go to school when im not at work. only things i really got time for is vidya games smokin and chillin with my woman.

  • im learning how to play sublime songs but i dont know how to do that double time thing on the hi-hat. so my question is how do you do double time on the hi-hat?

  • Its all in the wrist. I just watched videos of Bud and Marshall from Sublime and tried my best to copy. It took some time to get the shuffle, but in time I could do it. I'm far from perfect, but I'm still learning.

  • thanks man!

  • yeah he does the same thing bud does.

It screws my rhythm up when i try that.

  • haha thats sick that you do the same thing with your left hand as the drummer from sublime when you lift it really high

  • was this bud or marshall goodman??

  • marshall

  • beeeasty! one of my favorite sublime songs. good job,

  • very gooood :) props out to you from germany

  • danke!

  • i like your stlye maynne keep up the roots drumming

  • w00t ty

  • you only left out the second part, with the other beat, can you do that as well? ;-)

  • i'm still working on that beat...i can't do it well enough to put it up. I don't even know what genre that beat is; samba maybe? Again, props to Field Marshall Goodman.

  • yeah some kind of sambe, i know thats hard ... cant do it nither ^^

are there any sublime videos where he plays in?

  • well, that recording is Field Marshall and he rarely toured with Sublime; so chances are slim that they have video of this. I don't even think I've heard a live recording of this song. Kind of just a dub song, probably never played it live.

  • man you got Buds One Drop down pat and his arm thing too lol

  • thanks man

  • yo you really got the style down! even that thing Bud does where he swings his left arm down. where are you based out of?

  • Orange County, California

  • Awesome job, dude! I don't think some drummers realize how tricky it is to nail Bud Gaugh's grooves.

  • Bud Gaugh is one of my favorite drummers, although right up there with him is Field Marshall Goodman, who I believe is the one who recorded this track; I think this was recorded when Bud was in rehab. Both great drummers though.

  • Yo man...your new videos are tight. I'm a big fan of both Stoopid and Sublime, and I've seen a lot of crappy covers on youtube (tho not many choose drums). But you kill every song you've posted. Keep up the good work.

Also...props for picking some choice songs from these bands...not the radio hits.

  • unusual choice of cover but again, nailed it!

  • awesome choice i'd say!

    and awesome played!
