Eichmann was captured in Argentina by Israeli agents on May 11, 1960 and immediately brought back to Israel. His trial began on April 11, 1961. That gave the Israelis plenty of time to make sure Eichmann knew his lines before his performance on the stand.

Not true. It may be argued that perhaps Hoess was beaten but no other Nazi stated that he/she was tortured. Not Eichmann, not anyone. In fact Hoess stated that he was beaten but not that he was forced to confess to his crimes, only to until he admitted true identity.
