I think most people who want high powered lasers ARE too young and/or lacking a functioning brain, look at wicked lasers selling a 1000mw blue handheld laser and marketing it as a "light saber", how irresponsible is that, even a 150mw laser can cause retinal bleeding from a brief reflection. It isn't mainly adults buying these things.

Red lasers are the darkest in the wavelength spectrum since it is closer to Infrared

Green is the brightest color to a human eye...so a 5mW green laser will have a visible beam at night.

Violet-blue is closer to UV radiation..and closer to a black light color so the laser beam will be much hotter and not as bright as green at 5mW

you need 250mW of red laser power for the beam to be fully visible

@rax7 People haven't even made more then 20W for military perpouses I think your talking mW and in that case I think not sure around 4W and it is a class IV laser meaning it is so dangerous one quick direct shot can burn you too death or/and possibly cause cancer.
