"Man On Big Tractor is God. Alvin had to confess his sins to be forgiven. The motor had to brake short of his goal. Man On Big Tractor is God in Alvin's likeness...Alvin only bigger. And I wanted to afford this man the dignity of confessing his sins to God in private which is why the camera pans too far away to hear his confessional. All we need to know is God saw him worthy of forgiveness because he was willing to accept none."

#1- Teenage runaway pregnant; his advice to her is the father he wishes he'd been to his pregnant daughter.

#2- deer struck scene; life too hurredly led.

#3- Runaway truck by fire; alludes that his grandkids were burnt in a fire accidentally lit by him passed out.

#4- Graveyard scene; reckoning of mortality.

#5- Big Man On Tractor; is God, forgiving of sins, miraculous healing.
