  • 69 vids LOL!!!

  • Did you buy an Operating system?

  • nice cable management... kiddin its a tutorial nice :D

  • Seven grand and you use a stick heatsink, those things are crap. just drop an extra 80 bucks and get a Zalman or a Noctua

  • I like your tut, it's simple, and here is the funny things. I am writing this on the PC I built using your tut. Thanks man!

  • Excellent tutorial. None of that music and stuff playing in the background. Nice and simple vocal instructions clearly telling me how to assemble the parts. 5/5 and favorited.

  • nice comment B DUBS

  • simile- a comparison using like or as.

    you didn't use a single metaphor :P

  • stock intel fan=P i hate getting them on the mobo lmao

  • I know that this was built in 2008 but isn't $7000 a bit too much for that.

  • premium prices for sure,, u could build twice the machine now for prolly 2 grand,, such is the computer buisness

  • well yes, i paid TOP doller then for those parts,, every couple years i do that for fun and plus they last me a while,, tx 4 the comment

  • Why the fuck would you need a 1300w power supply?!?! unless your doing a hell of a lot of ocing, then yea maybe, but then your gonna wanna run a lot better coolent through your system. But other then that nice job. I just built my 3rd machiene. which one is that for you?

  • gosh 20 or so

  • nice, could you explain, why such a high power supply?

  • no real reason,, i just wanted to have enough plugs for everything i was putting in the machine plus any future stuff

  • ohh ok, so like extra graphics cards and such, planning ahead. Ok now that I think about it, it makes sense.

  • 7,000.. no way for that set up.. lol 1 8800 gtx a stock heatsink... and nothing special.. maybe 1700.. only way to get to 7000 is with a tri sli set up, watercooled with like 5 ssds and a core i7 975 or 965

  • the video is a year old , ya it waaaas 7k, now u could prolly get a better rig for 2k

  • he sounds like buffalo bill

  • Comment removed

  • gud vid man bud u dnt need 2 swear lol

  • no offence

  • None Taken

  • 1300w, what a waste.

  • Look at where he's at, he obviously must have some good money to spend, gonna by a supply, might as well buy one and not have to buy one for a while, I've been recycling 2 for the past 6 years xD(350w, 500w)

  • there is NO WAY in the future there will be graphics cards (most power consuming devices) using that much energy. really if anything power consumption will go down as research on energy consumption progresses. climate change is giving people no other choice.

  • climate change is a bunch of horseshit.. Dont believe the hype. in 2006 over 50k people died from the flu, this year in America there was one death from swine flu. Dont believe the hype son..

  • Your right about the flu hype, but climate change isn't hype, they didn't "come up" with that like this century, its just a fact, a scientific fact, disputed by incompetents and those who are really ignorant. Don't talk.. to people...or breed... pls..

  • or maybe it's chinese psu bomb, which gives only like 500w :D

  • Lol wut about capacitor aging thats supposed to reduce the power output? or if its that old is it time to change it..

  • U-Forgot the Thermal Grease

  • No Blue Ray?

  • U Did Not Put Terminal Past And The CPU

  • Thermal paste is pre-applied on the bottom of the stock CPU fan.

  • 7000 and your using the stock cpu cooler????

  • newegg sells pink flamingos! im buyin one

  • oh ya!!! w0ot

  • ive watched most of these videos and yours are extreamly helpfull keep posting

  • omg..no he didnt have apink flamingo?!?!lol

  • 7000 haha

  • wow ur rich you got beach views at 4.25

  • im kinda confused on what motherboard to pick i want something thats stable with the ability to overclock the cpu (q6600) over 3.0ghz and is sli ready im just so confused im on a tight budget so im on a budget of about £70-£80 so about $120 any ideas?

  • evga 750i best board for the price

  • funny swears during assembling! XD

  • why are u using the stock cpu fan?

  • 1 scsi ultra 320 is faster than 2 raptors in a raid 0 configuration, its a fact do the research

  • lol,, these are the facts, do your research

    SCSI --- U320 320 MB/s

    SCSI --- U160 160 MB/s,

    Sata --- 150 MB/s

    PATA--- 133 MB/s

    scsi 320 x 2 = 640

    150 compared to 640

lol sounds like you dont know shit

  • ..the reason i know is because i just got almost the same exact system and got express shipping from newegg...only cost me 1,200. i got aftermarket cooler, leds, 2 hd's, ect.

  • case 49.00 mobo 259.00 video card 449.00 power supply 389.00 quade core processor 979.00 ram 146.00 hard drive 304.00 2- scsi ultra 320 hd 1399.00 monitor 549.00 blue ray 189.00 scsi raid contrioller 1279.00 misc.. keyboard etc..
  • my cpu alone cost 1500, more than 6 months ago mind you

  • i was wondering if you can help me, im buying a pc from warmachine, but the problem that one of my friends mentioned that with the customizations i had added to it might burnout crash the computer or not run the computer if i dont pick the right one, and i wanted to know if u could help me pick one, pm if ur willing to help

  • sure dude all help ya what exactclly is your question?

  • not bad, nice choices...however, not to be a dick...that pc isn't $7,000, sorry. That looks to be a 780i series mobo, maybe a ftw not sure. 1300 watts? little overkill, unless you plan on getting triple sli. you don't even have an aftermarket cooler on there...the processor, being quad, even if it was top of the line..wouldn't make the price go to 7 g's. but you made a nice choice of parts, very open for upgrading later on.

Put some LED's on that biz :D

    good vid

  • i have scsi raid on it those parts are 3 g's i didnt put in the video cuz i didnt have time

  • thats a good macine,,,nice pc your makeing man,,,good for you dude

  • yeah i agree with you too the mobo COULD be the body

  • ooh well from some other video (most likely tigerdirect or not)... i thought the mobo was heart and cpu and hard drive is brain

how would you know the body is the mobo?

  • holy shit 1300W lol

  • Lol...a 1300W PS nice, you forgot to mention grease after putting in the CPU into the 755 slot (i think 755), How much did it cost you for all of those parts?

  • Yeah, but the brain also thinks about stuff, processes information.

Motherboard = Heart Because everything links back and into it.

CPU & Hard Drive = Brain.

  • that's what i thought

  • Is the motherboard a 780i or 790i? good amount of power.

  • FUCK yeah! Ha ha thanks for the video, very informative. I'm in the process of building my first machine and this helped a lot.

  • you speny 7000$ on a computer and its not water cooled!

  • There's no way in hell that all cost $7000.

  • O.O

You didn't use Thermal Compound between the CPU and the Heat Sink?

  • $7000 :0 man you really splurged

  • WEAR GLOVES! Electricity can cause lose of control of your body! Rubber glovers will work. Make sure they are thick. Not the plastic ones!

  • Hes not holding the god damn computer when its plugged in fool. And the entire idea that you have to wear and anti-static wristband is untrue. Just a waste of $20 for something that you do not need.

  • Do you think these components are compatible

    CM690 case

    Asus p5q deluxe

    q9550

XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler

    OCZ 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) model ocz2p8004gk

    CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V

    hd4870 vid card

Is the ram any good with this mobo? Is the cpu cooler fitting in the case?

Thanks a lot for your time and good video! Nice view from your balcony btw.

  • That case it awesome i have the case and cooler and yes it will fit but you'll lose a side fan but it's worth it. I would get some 1066 ram so you can really overclock.

  • im sorry...this is just seems a little weird...you spent 7k on your comp, but you are just using the dinky cpu cooler that comes with the possessor...i would expect like a really nice water cooling...

  • this video is about 6 months old.what i didnt put in the video was the scsi raid setup i put in it,, you never hear of scsi raid cuz its soo expensive, when i build this machine i didnt default to what was the cheapest i defaulted to what was the fastest period. i just built a 8 core system for 4,000 usd with scsi ssd its insane. $1,000 usd for 256 gigs of scsi ssd. w0ot thanks for the comment, next time u build a comp whip out that camera its a hoot to hear what people have to say! scott

  • i think you should have emphasized how important the PSU is, quite a few people buy a piece of crap that blows up, just because its cheaper.

i dont know how you managed to spend 7,000 on that PC when i've spent less then $2500 AUD on a PC more powerful :S

  • Asus P5E3 Deluxe WiFi Intel X38 -$300 DDR3 RAM Memory-$100 Intel core 2 duo E8400-8600 -$200 8800 GT-$200 dvd burner-$30 cd/dvd drive-$30 Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 750GB 3.5" SATA-300 Hard Drive - OEM -$100 power case -$100 computer case-$100 computer fan-$50 computer supplies-$10 operating system-$180(vista-64bit) what i have now is compitable if not, list what i should change to make it compatible. Thank you for your time.
  • ok i looked at the motherboard and the ram videocard and processor are all compatable it has sata slots so the hard drive will and the pci v 2.0 is compatable with the video card, everything looks fine!! NOW make sure the power supply you buy has power for all of that, dont forget the video card will probably have a power cord you will neew to hook to it, prolly one of those 8 pin ones, i think you just have to look closlly at the power supply cords. :0) good luck lemme know how it goes

  • Nice house :P, anyway thanks.

  • where do you live man D: looks awesome outside.

  • i wish i could say i just took some spare change and a few grand and they came over night i just wanna build it

  • shazamm51 :)) it's not "very little" but "very small" :))) nice vid by the way.give you 5points

  • i want that video card!

  • 8800 GTX? there are much newer ones these days.

  • nice video shazamm51 :)

  • GSO 9600 better

  • 9600 isent better its a budget card get a 9800GTX instead or a 280 if your really rich =p

  • what kind of graphics card is that???

  • Either the 8800GTS or the 8800GTX

  • try the BFG NVIDIA® GeForce® 9800 GX2 1GB graphics card a complete high definition entertainment and gaming solution for u new PC. and have fun bye.

  • nice system

  • You're Crazy, f**kin retard, 1st,you didn't ground yourself. 2nd, you should have gone with a modular molex power supply (ULTRA). 3rd the power for a 790i mobo requires a 24 pin, and 8 pin connection ( didn't show ). 4th you DO NOT put a CORE 2 QUAD EXTREME cpu on stock cooling (dumb ass ). 5th, you really spend all that money when i can build the same at half the cost. Think about it !!!!

P.S. Get a education it helps. I did.

    B.S.Computer Electronic Engineering Degree

  • put your money peice of shit degree where mouth is bitch, lets see your video,7 k is chump change, maybe not for you

  • Wow, I bet you feel pretty big about yourself, throwing around money like nothing, And making fun of the less fortunate. Prick. BTW I did like your video and found it very informative, but come on man. You gotta learn to deal with and exept that your gonna get critism when you post videos on youtube.

  • not really, it was just a responce from you making fun of me,, no sweat bro, thanks for the comment!! :0)

  • MAPLESG You're a fucking retard shit!

This is done in March so the prizes has probably went down.

And you noob shit, modular isnt a "MUST HAVE" thing, its only a thing to make it easier and cost more, but in many ways its not as good as standard!

    So STFU fucking bad person!

BTW: Great video Shazamm51! Really enjoyed it!

    "yeaa FUCK yea" :D

  • he made a good video, dont criticize him maplesg

  • Hey man awesome video!

But i ve heard that you cant touch certain parts of the computer with your bare hands because it could damge it, is it true? something about static energy i dont know=/

  • nothing to worry, every so often, you need to ground yourself (by touching an earth wire or grounding straps) to get rid of the static inside you, as long as your grounded its fine!

  • yeah, your supposed to have anti static wrist bands on so the static electricity doesn't damage the components. normally, you can get away without em, but they help.

  • how did you make your money, i really wanna know

  • motherboard could also be the central nervous system in your body

it sends out all teh signals and stuff

  • Dude, this is amazing. $7000? Youre crazy! You should really post some follow up videos of how the computer runs, and maybe even make a series of "how to" with software.

    =)

  • do u hav to buy a cooler seperately or does it come with the processor???

  • a stock one comes with it, but if your gonna OC it get a custom coooler

  • Why did you stock cool an extreme cpu?

  • actually i put a water cool system on this system once i got it togethr it works a lot better

  • hi i am 15 and i am on my first build these are the parts i am goin to buy

Sunbeam Transformer IC-TR-US-BA-WOPSU Black Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case......

ASUS P5K PRO LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard........

    EVGA 640-P2-N829-AR GeForce 8800GTS.....

    ASUS Silent Knight II.......

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale.......

    HITACHI Deskstar P7K500......

    Crucial 2GB 240-Pin DDR2.......

  • NO PSU?

  • my bad forgot to put it lol ~COOLER MASTER Real Power Pro~

  • You forgot to add thermal compound.

  • it came pre applied

  • Yeah i know, but its better to add fresh thermal compound just in case. (if you don't feel like taking any risks)

  • exellent

    perfect 5

  • stop posting pathetic comments and trying do out-do eachother, dont try and pick holes in other peoples material or it will come back to bite you in the ass when you make a mistake. This guy did a great job on this video and i wouldnt be surprised if the system did indeed cost around 3000 to 3400 pounds. Please just be great ful that there are people on youtube like this guy wanting to help inform and educate the dumbasses and the curious.

  • One, you dont need a vidoa card, two, you dont need a cd rom, and three you dont need a case. what about some thermal paste? that would help, btw i didnt make this post to offend you, just to make it well, true.

  • scsi HDD are usually 15000 rpm drives used for servers and i know for a fact thats no server

i for one looking into 15000rpme drives for myself because i wanted to beat out the damn Raptors. but really it all comes down too 120gb SSD's they are the fASTEST and your scsi cant touch there performance and i say 120gb even though most SDD say 122gb but after reformating you get 120

other then that the computer you built he was not 7k more like 1k if you had a good monitor

  • one reason they use them for servers is theay have a waaaaay more reliable.these are the facts

    SCSI --- U320 320 MB/s

    SCSI --- U160 160 MB/s,

    Sata --- 150 MB/s

    PATA--- 133 MB/s

i just got a ssd drive, they are sweet!! photoshop opens in less then 2 seconds,, ya get what you pay for. bottem line. ya get what you pay for!!! most 15 yr. old gamers cant offord them

  • WHAT MOTHERBOAR IS THAT

  • thanks glad you enjoyed, ya that powersupply was waaaaaaaaaaaay overkill, i got chords coming out my ass

  • ok dont talk to me ur crazy lol

  • my hands shake cuz i use to take lithium, its a side effect. or no i was soooo scared building this comp i just shook, ya thats it

  • i really cant hear anything

  • this vid is so vague he did not even show how to connect the power switch to the motherboard or even the fire wire or the fount audio and usb ports

  • well you know if you dont know how to hook a power suply to a motherboard, then i bet that you cant even tie your own shoes

  • Seriosly if someone doesn't know how to put in a ram or power supply they shouldn't even try :P

  • haha

  • lets see your video, or are you yet another armchair quarterback, lots of hot air

  • cant get very spacific on very much with a 10 minute cap, give it a try maybe you can come up with a better one

  • yeah sure, if you give me a camera i could show you in a faster spectivite because i can't build a complete computer in 10minutes, dipshit :P

  • crammed in as much as i could in 10 minuts

  • assholes not the power supply , the power button i tell you about stupid ppl

  • wow, tell us how you really feel, lol

  • What kind of Motherboard is that? Because I'm thinking about getting a EVGA mobo and it looks pretty similar to yours (not only by apperance, it has 780i SLI too)

  • it is an EVGA 780i motherboard

  • That's actually what I'm thinking about getting. It's EVGA, 780i SLI, about $240ish?

  • that wasn't very instructional. only my opinion.

  • how could of it been more instructional in 10 minutes?

  • btw how come u didnt put some paste or or glue lke thing on the processor? and then put the fan on

  • Some fans/heatsinks have thermal paste pre-applied to the bottom.

  • it came preapplied

  • u forgot the graphic card maybe im wrong

  • you wrong

  • hes a jackass... FUCK YEAH

  • oh yeah i am

  • FUCK yeah!!

  • fuck ya is right

  • I'm doing my very first build and watching other videos. This is one of the clearest, most straight forward videos out there. It was also the most helpful. Thank you for making the process simple for beginners like me. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to seeing what you're up to next.

  • thanks dude im glad you like, i hope you got something good from it, :0)

  • how did that cost $7000

    seems a bit much for only a single 8800gtx and a 780i

    how much was the cpu?

  • nice house... what do you do for a job???

  • i swear hes rich, though i dont think he can drive his lambo anymore, hows gas prices, scott?

  • havent evav noticed the prices

  • im assuming a sound cards not needed? :P

  • The mother board has it integrated you moron.

  • if hes new at it, dont call him a moron, you didnt know how to do this at one time...

  • you forgot the network card and the cooling liqud on the CPU so its going to bor nout realy fast. o you will not be abele to play onlyn ether.

  • Ever heard of Integrated Ethernet at the back of the motherboard? Internet is supplied through a modem which you buy then subscribe to a broadband plan...

  • and where does the Ethernet Cable go from the Modem ? go do some research

  • Ethernet goes thorugh modem, then to the port at the back of the motherboard? If thats not so, then I'm not flash on internet setups then.

  • A modem goes into a modem port that is usually an add-on card to a computer. Modem is extremely outdated though. Most people use broadband (a.k.a. Ethernet).

  • so that connection is either a integrated ethernet port or a ethernet card

  • it is attached to the motherboard

  • He could have used AMD CPU, AM2+ Mother Board and a ATi RaDeon VGA Card... Cheaper

  • i could have, but i dont build cheap shit

  • Oh so u like Intel eh!

  • he reminds me of maynard james keenan

  • lol now that you say it..he DOES remind me of maynard.

  • fuck ya dude

  • do hard drive screws come with case (coolermaster cosmos s) or do they come with hard drive?

should i buy a retail or OEM hard drive?

  • screws should come with the case, pick what ever hard drive you and then pick the lowest price for that drive retail or oem

  • i like it how you have 1300 watt power supply when u only need like 600 watts

  • i know it was waaaaaaaaaaay overkill i got chords coming out my ass

  • not a bad computer, but 1300W power supply for that? Hope yer going SLI XD

  • yeah he's probably future-proofing it i guess.
