@charlieiscool1000 Only the cops who patrol on bicycle on lincoln road and the rest of miami beach wear shorts because it would be too difficult riding on a bike with pants on. The rest of the cops like the squad cars, wear normal pants like any other police force would do. Trust me because I live here.

@IslandThunder84 no they do not my school cop in Aventura wears shorts everyday unless there is a ceremony or it's below 50 he drives a dodge magnum, maybe it's just the Aventura police though

When I first moved to SoBe in 1986 Lincoln Road Mall consisted of old wig shops, typewriter repair shops, Cuban sandwich shops & a few artists's studios. You could walk through the streets at 7am & hardly see anyone, & you could lay on the beach 100 yards from the next person drinking Orangina from the Epicure. I had a 1bd apartment a block from the beach for $200 a month for 10 years. It was paradise. Now it is just like any other trashy over-populated synthetic shopping district in America.

It's not so bad pea, I lived in Miami all my life. It is a stinker for the older folk. $200 a month rent at the beach! That was very long ago, ha, ha. It has lost originality. My aunt from France admitted this.

Even so, Miami Beach is not any-old -town-USA, it s an ever-changing local that will never grow old because the people that inhabit it and visit , are looking for more.. Western , and southern Florida stil offers sleepy town beach areas. Plenty of places to enjoy the "old" Florida.
