@GiveMeThatMango Wrong. Of course the car will loose speed when you change gear. Your disengaging the gear so no power will go to the drive shaft. And wheels spin would increase the speed on the speedo because the wheels are spinning faster than the car is actually moving, so as soon as the car gains traction again the speed will drop and the car will accelerate normally.
