Atlpapapi--HORROR OF HORRORS !!!!!!!!!! WHAT AN INSULT!!!!!!
NO ORGAN (REAL ONES THAT IS AND NOT THOSE THAT ARE LIKE DIAMONDS POSING AS A MILLION DOLAR DIAMOND NEEDS ANY AMPLICATION. OBVIOUSLY YOU HAVE NEVER HEARD A REAL ORGAN LET ALONE PLAYED ONE!!
RE: Adding digital reverberation. One of the great aspects of this heritage instrument is that it is essentially the same sound which would have entertained a crowd in the 1920s. Someone else commented that digital reverberation could make this organ sound like St. Sulpice. I might respond that if that logic is followed, surely St. Sulpice should receive a modern action (as did Cathedral Notre Dame). I guess that there is an argument over how much change (if any ) is an improvement.
I bet she practices on the average of an 8 hour day to keep in professional form. But agree, just kinda aint the same with an organ of this magnitude to perform dry. It definitely needs speakers out in the audience, esp. out on the surrounding poles connected to a digital device that would delay the sound in microseconds from the pipe chambers to speakers to give a real nice ambient reverb sound as if sitting in St. Sulpice.
...interesting. A fine performance, as usual, though I think this piece is never going to work very well on the Spreckels, thanks to the lack of reverberation.

Carol Williams is a real showstopper. The instrument would benefit from electronically amplified reverberation.
