  • @noshabibis Must be

  • I have 2008 zo6,how do keep it straight in 1st and 2 gear, want to go side ways, and spin tires,,,,

  • thats a great pass for a ZO6 >>>>>>>NICE

  • Nice pass? you mean AWESOME!!

  • Wow, nice runs, Z06 and ZR1 Rule!!

  • what rpm are you launching at and are you slipping the clutch what was your 60ft time oh yeah nice pass i have a c6 zo6

ran the same et 11.43 at 125 bone stock the corsa sounds great but gonna stay with the oem.

  • I'm launching at 3500 and slipping the clutch slightly. I've slipped it too much before and it went to the floor. I think that 60' was 1.80, I had a 1.76(my best) earlier that day. I just ran a 11.15@128.08 and a 11.18@ 127.70 this past Thursday at a rental . I didn't get either of those passes on video but did get a couple in the 11.20's that I'm going to download here tonight or tomorrow so look for them. My corsas are coming off next fall for some bone stock runs in good weather.

  • Sweet car! I love ZO6's. Wut else is put on short shifter, intake, Dr's, control arms or anything? I know ZO6's and pretty much all vetts r limited to the amout of traction they get. I haven't been to the track and seen a ZO6 make a pass yet. I've always wanted to know wut one would run w/just simply traction & everyday bolt ons. I run a 04 cobra bone stock, just Dr's &a K&N lol. & My times dropped big time. Couldn't imagine the gains in such a supper car.

  • Nice Pass!! I have only about 5 passes under my belt!!! 08 z06 stock. I seem to have "wheel hop" and anything above 2500 rpm's or so!!! I am a novice but any advice to avoid wheelhop??

  • What tire pressure do you run? I'm at about 26 psi on the goodyears. I've never had wheelhop in my car so try that next time your out. If it continues you'll have to change your clutch release/gas squeeze.

  • i have the same zo6 same color also i have installed vararam air intake and kooks headers x-pipe and corsa axle back .... i just got Nitto's on it ,,,what tire pressure should i run ?

  • I run at about 26psi in the rear's and 40 psi in the fronts

  • @sea1shadow i installed a K&N filter..yea maybe my first mistake how do i keep it from turning on my check engine light..i think the oil in the filter is doing it any way to get around that ??

  • @onefugowie.IMO the intakes worth looking into are the ones that are better able to keep IAT temps as close to ambient as possible. This will lead to the most HP as the PCM will not be pulling undue timing due to extra heat. Don't let anyone tell you that one is clearly superior as that is simply not true. There are several options:

  • 1. Callaway Honker - IMHO this is the most OEM looking setup. This may be good or bad depending upon the "look" you are going for.

  • @onefugowie2. Vararam - this has the most potential to have a "ram effect" although I think some have pointed out that the scoop placement is not in an ideal location with respect to pressure zone. Also, if water ingestion is of concern (rare event, but possible) this will probably be the most susceptible. My biggest beef is that there have been several reports of a poor filter seal around the housing, allowing large particulate matter to get into the motor.

  • @onefugowie 3. Halltech - In combination with their beehive shroud, this makes the intake more of a cold air intake. It probably has higher IATs at rest since the filter is still inside of the engine bay but probably has similarly low IATs at speed (a guess). The good - great fit and finish. The bad - a bit more expensive but what's 100 bucks on a $75,000 car !?

  • @onefugowie

    4. LPE - Never seen this one but reports are positive. The catch is that this intake requires a PCM reprogram that will void the GM warranty. Perhaps someone can chime in if the intake can work on the stock tune? The tune is due to the MAF change.

  • @onefugowie5. BPP Vortex - This one has a sealed box like the Callaway and uses a cone filter. I've installed a Vortex, the quality has improved immensely since the C5 vortex rammer IMHO as that was noting more than a knockoff of a now discontinued product called the Proflow.

  • @onefugowie Bottom line: do some reading (search function), choose a cold air intake only if you are willing to accept some minor increase in risk of hydrolock (still a very rare event but not zero), and choose the system that looks/appeals to you the most.

  • @sea1shadow thank you great info..i know someone at the dealer that will help me with this....

    thanks agaian

  • do a longer burnout the wheel hop is from

    the tire having hot spots

  • Thanks guys!!

  • Exactly what waltermike32 said.. slip ur clutch at the initial grab then let it out of the way as u start to roll (double clutch) I drag a stock 04 SVT Cobra w/Drs And if anyone know anything about Mustangs then u know Mustang wheel hop like it's the cool thing to do..lol. I even snapped my rear end once from it. I started double clutch more and it worked out great

  • @rmm2424 What track is that? It almost looks like it's downhill. Nice run.

  • ZO6 IS KING
