Great video! Now that case is outsourcing a line of knives to China and not putting as much into the details as you have stated I'm thinking of switching my collecting to Tidioute.
GREAT video with excellent points. I've been collecting GEC's for a couple of years and, to put it bluntly, Case isn't producing nearly as nice of knives as GEC. They lack the half stop and no longer have the walk and talk of old. Their polish is still wonderful and their handle scales are tight to the bolsters...but other than that GEC is totally got them beat on quality. I think that the PPP on the Hogan stands for production prototype pattern. Not sure though...
you know i dont know why people complain about case knives and say they are slipping on thier quality when none of u are giving a reason why u think so other than there are not swedges on most case knives as long as the fit of each case is good there is no blade wobble ur good stop whining if u dont wanna case dont buy em
@jasonwainwright83 yeah man you got a point. who cares about swedges. i think theyre ugly anyway. i think case is still a damn fine company. i sometimes carry a case peanut, and just ordered a small case finn fixed blade for bowhunting this year.
