More HOA Board Abuse! Which is why I am trying to get our own board under control with a $3 million lawsuit against the HOA and individual board members (details on my YouTube.) This abuse has got to stop for all 22% of the population who are currently serfs in these HOA fiefdoms!
tinkerton. i am buying my home through a fixed loan from a bank.when i purchased my home,the home was in federal government hands.and when buying a home from fha,they dont have to contact a state level hoa to allow a person to buy home.at one time,my home was sold through a home seller that was also in control of the local hoa.i have been here 2 years and i dont allow the hoa basterds on my property.

HOA's need to be regulated and they need to be held accountable to someone. When a person signs the contract to abide by their rules they do not include harassment, false allegations, invasion of privacy and so forth which is what my HOA routinely participates in.
Unfortunately I am in the same boat as these people. Senator John Caron and Associa, Alliance Association Management are a bunch of extortionists. I get fined consistently for a lawn that is maintained professionally every 2 weeks! HOA in Austin TX is abusive! IT MUST STOP.
Funny that you say that, cause I was a HOA board member, and it's funny how some don't say nothing about their violation until it's in the hundreds and even thousand dollar, for not responding to the violation and then they want to raise hell, when a lean is placed on thier property. You can't get rid of a politician that isn't in your district through political processes because you can't vote against him. Sen Carona is in a district comprised mostly of non-HOA housing so residents outside of his district are most affected by his legislation and his company's unscrupulous business practices.
As to board members, there is no right to vote in an HOA.

These are the neighborhoods that have high crime rates. Drugs, Burglary of Habaitation, Robbery, Sexaul Assault, Child Abuse and so on. I would pay HOA to help keep my neighborhood clean. Some HOA get out of hand, that is why you need to be apart in stoping out of control board members. Don't blame in HOA in whole.
