glazed on the inside yes ! ...but this is vitrified 1300 C , so its pretty much impervious anyway . I answer this from UK , now 5 am !!! ,drinking a tea & listening to the dawn chorus of birds in the garden...another day in begins ! Regards SL
Simon, How much clay do you actually move when you make a pull? I think I try to get my height with to few pulls then my walls are thin and it falls apart. Any suggestions??
Hi D - how much to pull ? well I reckon to pull up in 3-4 pulls approx.I think thats much the same even if it s a smaller piece. You may notice when I start a pull I press in from the outside with my fingers to create a step in the wall, this assists me in the lift -try it ! SL
Hey Simon... Im a big fan, I've watched all your vids, I own an electric wheel but i would really like to have a LEACH wheel, would it be possible to get the plans for it. love ur work...
great video, I'm still working on being able to pull the clay up with the ease that you do, i struggle a fair bit getting such nice height. love the videos, a great instructional tool and inspiring for a young and learning potter. keep it up!
When you needle the top edge to make it even, don't you find you get little kernels of clay around the edge of it that can be a bit of a pain to get rid of again?
I would appreciate a couple of pictures of that pointy tool you use to trim the base, etc. Hubby has promised to make a copy for me.
Simon,
What a blast from the past aye. Can I request the next flagon clip is a cider one please!
Cheers

Hi Simon,
As this is to hold liquid, do you glaze the inside, or is the clay fried so it os not porous?
Thanks.
