  • This song is great but the album sucks.

  • PERFECT !!!!!!! THE KINGS OF METAL.

  • I don't get why so many don't like the later albums. Classic Sabbath is pretty much untouchable, but the late album are frigging masterpieces too, full of hidden gems.

  • @Porly62 because ppl are stuck in their old patterns. Just because they grew up with a certain era of a band, they stick to it. There's no logic to it at ALL. It's purely an emotional thing, so there's no point looking for the logic. It's stupid. They do it with everyone. Deep Purple, Maiden, Scorpions, AC/DC etc. All these bands were still great in the 80ies & 90ies (and Maiden during the B.Bailey era) but ppl are stuck on Ozzy, Ian Gillan, Uli Roth, Bon Scott, etc.

  • People may not like this album and I'm not a fantastic fan, but i don't hate anything by Black Sabbath this song however is very good..

  • Sabbath is the greatest institution, the power tower, of Heavy Metal

  • This song to me sounds little more than a rehashed Headless Cross

  • A lot different than tracks like Paranoid or War Pigs, but great

  • All of Sabbath's later stuff I've never heard of, it's really only stuff like Iron Man and Paranoid that get all the attention. This stuff is really underrated :(

  • It sounds much better in live version

  • @CarpeDiemBaby7891

there isn't any kind of a live version out there

  • @loouuni Sorry i must be messed up with Rusty Angels ;)

  • @CarpeDiemBaby7891

haha okay man ;D the live versions of rusty angels are pretty cool^^

  • i really fking love this album , i remember i used to listen this album again and again and again....

  • Tony Martin has his good points at times, but IMO Ray Gillen and Dio were the best sabbath voices.

  • Martin was as good as all of them. All the lineups were great. Headless and Tyr when I would play them and still do, people would ask what band it was. Martin got a lot of people into Sabbath.

  • it shows how good sabbath was i mean look which famous and brilliant musicans joint sabbath, in this band were gods like ozzy, tony iommi, cozy powell, dio, ian gillen or ray gillen..amazing

  • @loouuni don't forget Geezer and Ward and Nicholls

  • I don't dig this. I find the vocals a bit slow and droning. A lot of people say this is one of the best tracks of the album, for this reason i doubt i'll ever own it

  • Oh wow, I love the Tony Martin era. This was my favorite song from this album.

  • Hey guys who is this singer???

  • @KotsosMetal Tony Martin

  • Good tune great riff and vocals .... memories :)

  • Is that Michael Bolton?

  • @CeliaInSurreland fuck no it's tony martin. If it was Michael Bolton it would be a shitty cover of a song originally sang by a black guy

  • it's Forbbiden to dislike Black Sabbath , becouse if u do i will kick u while im wearing Fairies Wear Boots and u'll be Shaking off the chains ........ damn u Rusty Angels ........

i've been listening Black Sabbath when i was 8 years .............. and after all this time i still love them ...... something like this can never get forgoten .....

    † R.I.P † Ronnie James Dio

    †R.I.P † Ozzy Osbourne

  • @stompandkill Right. I first heard/saw Sabbath on MTV's Closet Classics around 1982. Paranoid and Iron Man videos. Great stuff. A friend of mine in grade school had Mob Rules and let me borrow it. 30 years later, I still listen to Black Sabbath. It's a way of life.

  • @stompandkill I agree, but Ozzy isn't dead.

  • @thewolffebros he's a braindead clown, but not physically dead

  • Great Great fucking song from a crap album, Iommi is in fine form on this album, Black Sabbath should tour With Appice Martin Geezer and Iommi, Under the Name, Forbidden, Cross Purposes, Or Headless Cross. They did a dio reunion how about a Martin reunion, He pulls Of Dio and Martin stuff really well.

  • @hambone9119 That would be cool, so would a Reunion with Ian Gillan I love the Born Again album

  • love you all xox

make my world go round <3

  • im not saying is bad, im saying that is not black sabbath

  • Sabbath is whatever Iommi wants!

  • i love this album, minus the first song, that one was horrible

  • is this album really worth only one star?

well this song isnt that bad

  • i love every song by black sabbath. every singer brought something spectacular...even when geezer was saying about the idea of ian gillan singing with them: "what the fuck's that gonna sound like?" sabbath was all about the spirit of creation, and that always means taking chances. they always came through for me. by far my most favorite metal band.

  • I CREATED BLACK SABBATH.

  • This song is pretty good!!!

  • Fuck yeah, this is fucking awesome .___.

  • Well.. even tho this album got the shittiest of shitty reviews i still think its pretty decent.. in the words of tony martin himself "Nah... Forbidden is the worst" lol

  • Black Sabbath will be my favourite band all the time!

I love every era, the Ozzy era, the Dio era and the Tony Martin era.

Especially I really love the Tony Martin era, it's my favourite, because I just don't like 70s Hard Rock like the powerfull and amazing 80s Metal for example.

But how I said, I love every era, just because every era and so every album of Sabbath sounds different, really different! It's like listening to many different bands. Just the best Metal Band in my opinion!

  • I will admit, its good, but not "Black Sabbath" good.

But its STILL a good record. Still better then lots of stuff in the 90's like Limp Bizkit or Korn.

  • I fell in love with this song. All the others in this album just absolutely suck, I'm sorry.

  • Actually this album is from 95 not 96 ;)

  • To me, anything Tony Iommi does is gold and so is this.

  • Ugh, this isn't Black sabbath! This is Whitesnake!

  • Black Sabbath as a band always give great music , and song. The band as a whole regardless of vocals [ I am A full on Dio fan even after death] has managed to rock through the ages , and this has been with a contribution from a range of great line ups. One of my most favorite songs from Black Sabbath being Headless cross with tony Martin. Ozzy etc all brilliant . But the band as a whole with whoever on vocals ROCK every time /,,/

  • sabbath is toni iommi.... and before tony there was no other.... and sharon is the bitch beyond darkness.. there i said it. u will always find us in the front row at sabbath shows...

  • you can call Martin bad singer, but you can't deny the epic epicness of song's riffs!

as a musician, Iommi is ALWAYS in good shape, all the time.

  • Glorius and majestic song, with great lyrics and vox from Martin.

  • on which site you downloaded this song?

  • All Hail Sabbath!!

  • Awesome song from a so and so album. Long Live Tony Martin!

  • AWESOME SONG FROM A CRAP ALBUM this song is fucking epic powerfull and sabbath as fuck.

  • this is ok, not good but good enough to listen too. I mean, look at Ozzy's new stuff, especially his new album, i heard let me hear you scream from his new album i though i was gonna puke. Dio and Ozzy sounded awesome in black sabbath, the other two singers afterwards were ok. but ozzy's stuff from his solo career after randy rhodes left sucked. and Dio's stuff, it all sounded awesome, even his new stuff before he died sounded great. R.I.P. Dio

  • @codyjt5150 i actually like this song over Ozzy New solo shit anyday, and Iommi o this always has a awesome guitar, that screams beauty.

  • I love this song even if I don't listen to heavy metal! :)

  • what? tony martin's voice is shit? you motherfucker are shit! his voice is great, i love it! stfu now idiot.

  • guys am not a fan but this is a very good album and in my opinion much better vocals than ozzy's

  • WHAT THA FUCK?

    ANOTHER KILLER RIFF FROM IOMMI?

    THIS GUY IS KING

  • all i got to say is Blender Magazine doesn't know shit about music, this album as a whole is kickass, didn't those fucktards listen to any other songs on here besides illusion of power because that is the ONLY bad song on the album

  • I really like this song!! =D

  • All the Sabbath lineups had their good, average, and bad material. The Tony Martin-eras were no exception. I think Eternal Idol was the best of all of those albums. The rest are mixed bags. I'd rather listen to Eternal Idol than the first Sabbath album. The Dio albums are finally getting recognized, which is great since I think they're some of the best metal albums ever, period.

  • Enjoy the Sabbath my friends!! Stop arguing like cry babies over whos better than who. I´m sick of this shit. This album rocks!!

  • man the last album released 15 years ago i would be very happy about a neq sabbath album now! now with because of the reunion with ozzy!

  • @loouuni

well, when i listened new unreleased songs with Ozzy, i was very very disappointed. For me, this is just a sad caricature of the early Sabbath.

I definitly prefer listen NEW songs and when B.S. innovate.

  • Black Sabbath without Ozzy means for me a good metal band.

With Ozzy the LEGENDARY PIONEERS OF METAL!!

Enjoy music! AND R.I.P. Ronnie. Be your dreams nice!

  • There Should Be a Toni Martin Era Compilation and This song Deserves to be on it because this is a Sabbath Classic as well as get a grip and rusty angels good tracks from a average album.

  • I actually think this album is better then the Eternal idol so aggressive i think because it came out with a hair metal sound it got slaughtered by the public and press who where heavily into grunge and nirvana. This is an awesome Hard Rock and Roll song from a great underrated ALBUM. I like this more then Eternal Idol And Technical Ecstasy ans Never Say Die and Mob Rules. its just different.

  • Say what you will about the rest of the album, but this a pretty good song.

  • best non ozzy and non dio line-up

  • With Tony Iommi on the guitar, black sabbath will always be Black Sabbath, don't matter who is the singer...that's my opinion...

  • @el1ex

    Totally agree with you.

  • im not hating on the other members but once Ozzy left the name should be changed so as not to confuse with the real sabbath, i still like the other lineups but... Ozzy FTW!

  • first sabbath album purchased. how utterly tragic. a few ok songs but by far their worst

  • great song. Probably the last good album of iommi ...

  • NAKED FAT BOY APROOVED!

  • this and Rusty Angels are my favorite tracks offa this album.

  • This song is really underrated

  • please check out my recent upload called Raor Tears..i think its what us,Sabbath fans would like..thnx

  • Black Sabbath with Tony Martin and Ozzy Osbourne are the best era's. Headless Cross and Cross Purposes blew me away when I bought them!! I'm never selling those gems!

  • this is the 1st black sabbath album i bought and i still love it

  • Fuck you. All bs line ups are good.

  • @BlackSabbath0198 i completly agree as long as tony is in the band black sabbath is badass

  • Goddam, I love this album!

  • sick. why couldn't ozzy sing this kind of songs?

  • Extremely good, and unfortunately underrated song.

  • I wouldn't say underrated so much as just unknown. Obscure

  • Hell!This rocks

  • This album is a Shit, but have some Awesome Songs like Forbidden,Guilty as Hell,Get a Grip and Kiss of Death

  • I dear to say that this is the worst sabbath album... but still have some great songs like get a grip, the illusion of power and kiss of death. But black sabbath with tony martin have great albums like headless cross, tyr and cross purposes

  • this is even sabbath, R.I.P

  • Headless Cross Tour 2009

    United States and Canada

My space Headless Cross Tour 2009

I cannot wait to see them in July in California! July and August 2009

  • dosent the vocal style one this song kinda mimic 18 and life?

  • this is my fav sabbath album eventhough they've always been most popular with ozzy / dio....

  • This fucking rocks who said sabbath without ozzy doesnt rock because this is heavy and great

  • actually in some interviews iommi has stated many times he's very proud of the work he did with tony martin, if i remember correctly the only thing he didnt like about forbidden is that it was completely rushed.

  • Second best song on the album, loser gets it all is better.

  • great album, better than most albums with Ozzy(WHO SUCKS! I dunno why is he so overrated and worshiped, he can't simply sing...)

  • Because his voice was full of darkness? Listen to "Black Sabbath", then listen one more time and then... You'll shit bricks.

Damn, I love first albums of Sabbath, I admire a lot newer ones. They've changed atmosphere but still it's great rock! ; )

And Iommi? He's still the best guitarist for me.

    Cheers!

  • I'll admit, not EVERY song on this album is good. But I will also admit, this and a lot of others songs are just great. I also happen to really like the album cover. I just think it looks plain old awesome.

  • Actually, being a true Sabbath fan doesn't depend on liking this album because even Tony Iommi doesn't rate it !

  • Everyone has opinions and they all suck. Even mine. But just for the record heres mine.

In my honest opinion sabbath is not sabbath without dio or ozzy

I wouldnt say roy gillen or tony martin suck but everyone likes a paricular era of the singer.

    I love dio-ozzy some may love roy-tony

But I do love iommis playing on this song though.

All I will say is this

There is a reason why people loved dio-ozzy more. Hell this album only got one star. That is sad.

  • It's Ray Gillen, but he never really recorded an production album, there's Ian Gillan and Glenn Hughes as well.

  • @MetalScorpius i agree but this song is An Epic awesome song of a bad overall album.

  • @MetalScorpius Who gives a shit if this album got one star? This album has to be one of my favorites out of the Sabbath catalog. Reviews are based on opinion and each person will have their own so I don't think bringing in an outside source actually matters. Personally, I enjoyed all of Sabbath minus Ozzy. Dio and Gillan were gold as well

  • @MetalScorpius tony iommy is black sabbath men

  • @MetalScorpius

I agree ibut it's Ray Gillen unless your were talking about the purple singer Ian Gillan

  • @MetalScorpius Black Sabbath was ussually always awesome. The 1st 6 with Ozzy were excellent. The 3 with Dio were great. Headless Cross and TYR with Tony Martin are masterpieces. Don't judge Sabbath after Dio as shot because of this shitty album. Cross Purposes was good too. Sabbath just has so many different sounds and great cds. Anyone who says only ozzy and dio is missing out.

  • @Dshtreeriverfuk Well crap album but awesome fucking song.

  • @MetalScorpius Black Sabbath was ussually always awesome. The 1st 6 with Ozzy were excellent. The 3 with Dio were great. Headless Cross and TYR with Tony Martin are masterpieces. Don't judge Sabbath after Dio as shit because of this shitty album. Cross Purposes was good too. Sabbath just has so many different sounds and great cds. • Who the fuck is in this band besides Tony Iommi? This doesn't sound like Bill Ward on the cans. I didn't hear and bits that indicate Geezer being in the mix either. It's not bad music at all, but damn... I was expecting a sabbath tune.

  • i think the line up is

    TONI IOMMI

    GLEN HUGHS

    COZY POWELL

    TONY MARTIN

  • Close. It's:

    Tony Iommi (guitars)

    Neil Murray (bass)

    Cozy Powell (drums)

    Tony Martin (vocals)

    Geoff Nicholls (keyboards)

Glenn Hughes was vocals on Seventh Star.

  • thanx 4 corrections man it is a decent album too sabbath never really had a bad album.

  • I like Martin's Sabbath more than the original. I love this album since my childhood.

  • tony martin does not suck,

just sabbath aint just tony iommi,

releasing these albums under that name was a mistake that even he ackowledges,

thats why he wont reissue them,

good music but not the sabbath we know and love,

  • NO...this is a true Sabbath fan...A true Sabbath fan will love and enjoy all of Black Sabbath's music no matter who is on vocals!

  • Thank you, It's all about the final result /,,/

  • @Robthewild1

I totally agree, every Black Sabbath recorded is great, and every vocalist enjoyable and unique.

  • @Robthewild1 oh so you cant be a true sabbath fan if you dont like this? i aint talkin shit i just aint a fan and i feel like im discriminated against

  • @Robthewild1 Bullshit. A fan doesn't have to just accept anything that a band plops out of their asshole.

  • @Robthewild1

And true fan means shit is shit and you still want it...???WTF... I think theres something wrong if you can say that ALL SABBATH SONGS ARE 5/5.-....OR something....weird...I kind of Worship THE WHO´S Music and stage act but i would say there is many songs i skip on their albums....And im not true fan??? Even got a TATTOO...Nice... :-))))) fuck that...Im a H.U.G.E. FAN...

  • @Robthewild1

AND i would like to add this song is in my Sabbath Scale 1/5...But i love them...maybe not the singer here....Sounds like something freacking eighties male/shy guy with a guitar faggot shit..The singer....cant get that whore in my mind...which one i would like to compare this gay-shit-bottle-fucked-mongo-face

  • @Robthewild1 yes I aggree.

  • @Robthewild1 Right because all of sabbath singers rocked best band ever

  • @Robthewild1 You are truley right! I love all the things Tony and the rest of the guys have done. This track is very special indeed

  • exactly what makes this a bad album? it sounds fine to me.

  • Only good Martin album is Cross Purposes. Everything else can go fist itself.

  • o que tinha na cabeça do tomy quando disse que tony martin não cantava bem o cara tem um puta timbre afinação extenção

  • big sabbath fan, but this is dragging the name through mud, this is good music but just not sabbath,

  • shut the fuck up

  • what? any real black sabbath fan knows that tony martin is the worst thing that happend 2 sabbath!

  • In your opinion,Martin was NOT the worst thing to happened to Black Sabbath, nothing ruined Sabbath, every era of Sabbath has it's own unique taste

  • say that after u listen 2 symptom of the universe with tony martin :L

  • Fuck you piece of shit, i like martins voice, even though he can sing AS WELL as he did be for TYR album, he still has that passion and doesn't give 2-shits about people like you who only look at Ozzy being the best sing for sabbath

  • No u. Tony Martin sucks.

  • @nicolasinfire enjoy ur block

  • @nicolasinfire What´s wrong with you? Get a life ...

  • @frostyholycross

you are insane my friend. Hope you enjoy yourself, you are a clown.

  • @sabbathrider

go fuck ur grans 75 dry cunt

    tony martin sucks!

and this aint really black sabbath!

  • @frostyholycross

HAHAHA Ok ok. man, if u don´t like it, don´t hear it. You got 8 fantastic records to enjoy with Ozzy on vocals. Let us enjoy the rest too. peace!

  • @sabbathrider

to be honest i was just checking it out cause i've heard every other sabbath line up (their my fav band) and i got pissed off when i heard this cause it was such a change from ozzy, dio, and gillan sabbath and in my opinion this more on the same kinda quality as seventh star era sabbath

  • @frostyholycross

ha ha ha ha it´s ok man. I just happen to like all of the sabbath albums and got tired over time with the "a is better than b, and c can fuck off!"

Seventh Star isn´t a really Sabbath thing, it´s an Iommi solo. I like it a lot too.

I can tell you that the Tony Martin stuff will grow on you, don´t listen to it as something that´s competing with Ozzy´s or Dio´s era, just hear it , take your time. Hope you enjoy it.

    Saludos!

  • @sabbathrider

nah man i really dont like this kinda stuff for one thing it shouldnt be called sabbath cause tony's the only original member on the album its abit like gnr nowadays

and this really aint my kinda thing but sure whatever like, ive plenty of other stuff to listen to

  • @sabbathrider At least someone gets it. All lineups of Sabbath are awesome. It doesn't matter to me if it's Ozzy, Dio, Ian Gillan, Glenn Hughes, Ray Gillen, or Tony Martin at the mic; as long as its Sabbath I'm happy. People need to stop arguing over which singers are good and which one's are bad, just enjoy it, that's what music is made for.

  • What a guitar riff ! Actually, a masterpiece like that seems worthy of being written in capitals ,make it The best Heavy Metal RIFF ever,...

  • I think the record is great. when i listened to the songs a couple of times a learned to like them.(Sorry for the bad english, from sweden and drunk. hehe)

Great record and this song rocks!!

    Metal to you all!

  • This song is amazing! I wish they had on on i Tunes.

  • the best of the best!!!!! black sabbath forever

  • I and in Brazil muito fodaaaa !!!

  • This song is very awesome!!!

But the album "Forbidden" isn't a good one.

The best Sabbath's albums with Martin on vocals are "The Eternal Idol", "Headless Cross" and "TYR"!!!

  • There are no good albums with Martin on vocals. I would rather hear a cat being put slowly through a blender then listen to Tony's vocals.

  • True. Martin is pretty much AIDS incarnate, vocal-wise. But you can't tell me you couldn't imagine Ozzy singing I Witness or Virtual Death and it being good.

  • Black Sabbath is king period!!!
