  • John said right. This movie was made By Paul For Paul.

  • @maxjob7 , John had no where near the complaints about Paul that George did.

George left the band after the rooftop concert.

Yes, Paul had a big ego and saw himself as the band leader ,and John took offence to that, but they were still great friends.

  • this song is a fave, and when u think about it,it's really one of the last songs where john and paul sing together in harmony, like in the past......i believe paul wrote it.....

  • check out georges wicked bass playing...the gut is so imaginative..love ya george

  • @oaktree4able He’s playing a bass part, but not actually playing a bass. It’s a Telecaster (6 string). I hadn’t caught that before.

  • lovely song

  • Yes, it's strung left handed, but the pick guard is at the top!

  • So good! Thanks!

  • Odd that at that stage of their career, Paul is playing a right handed guitar?

  • @roamic Maybe UHSAUHSAHU

  • @roamic Yes, he took a right handed guitar, flipped it over & restrung it for a leftie. You can tell by the normal G, C, D chord forms he plays, that is it restrung normal for a left handed player.

  • Cheer up Ringo :)♥

  • "You and I have memories

Longer than the road that stretches out ahead"

    So true.

  • Sucks that HD video or digital camera wasn't around back in these days.

  • This was Paul's idea to film this. He was telling George what to play and they had fragmented so much that the cameras added tension. George told Paul "I could just not play anything". The cameras were limited and this was another Beatles Album. Yes it is good stuff, but George was on his way as was John. Yoko really wasn't that big a deal. They just outgrew each other. He was already working on "All things must pass". Notice the lack of Georges songs on it, much like the other Beatles Albums.

  • @pianoman4rent i think George had as many on this album as he usually did..one or two

  • Damn, John's chewing gum, AGAIN !

  • Who else invited their wives to these sessions?

    Fuck you John Lennon.

  • @almontage Woah woah woah woah WOAH. How, dare you?! How could you say such a horrible thing to such a wonderful man? All he is doing is loving his wife, the way HE does it. If it means he wants her to go everywhere with him, then that's his choice. It doesn't make him a bad person. Man oh man, If only I could show Paul and Ringo this, I'm a hundred percent positive their responses would be, "Well, fuck you too, almontage! Fuck you too!"

  • @almontage I see that you clearly have never really been in love...

  • Ringo looks high as fuck

  • do you guys see it this is right before they broke up this was paul's song to john to say goodbye hahah sooo genius

  • @Mr69calboy actually it was song about Paul and Linda's travelling throughout the countryside

  • @Mr69calboy Abbey Road was the last album they actually recorded, Let It Be just wasn't released until after.

  • they look bored...boring song

  • @Atomicflash500 , it's a nice song , but i think they were bored. Ringo, John & George looked like 'whatever'.

  • @Atomicflash500 This song is beautiful, no fan would say that ANY beatle song is "boring" for any of their songs actually is. If you don't like Beatles then let me say "Yo crazy bro". And as for George, he always had that bored face, Ringo tended to have it too most of the times; and really, they all were lke this during songs; if you smile or laugh while recording a song, it will ruin it.

  • @Atomicflash500 Well, i just respect your opinion :)

  • @Atomicflash500 You are boring

  • Man, that is one ugly green carpet.

  • good George Bass Part :)

  • I speak from experience when i say that women change the dynamic of any male social group.

  • I'd like to see what Lennon is playing here,at the start of the tune.I play it w/an open 'G' bouncing of the high 'E' and leaving 'B' open.Da-da da da,Da-da da da-da da da ,and I sound correct every time. But Mc definitely isnt doing that. All the song books I have seen have the first chord as 'G'(then 'C'-'Bm'-'Am') and I can't tell wtf Mc is playin but it sure isn't an open 'G'.any guitarists out there?or seen Lennon playin it?it sure sounds simple enough.

  • The idea that they hated each others guts at this time is the uninformed illusion of seond and third generation fans who know too much about The Beatles that isn't rue.

See "LENNONYC" about Lennon's years in NY. You'll learn that while they were attacking each other on their LPs they were still the best of friends.

  • as usual, George is flying under the radar.........he's playing both bass line and embellishing the song with lead runs on this song. Well done George.

  • the greatest on earth are, of course, beyond the prejudices, Stephen Hawking, Castro and Macca. If they meet, those who lower their eyes first? Who will keep them straight, being the greatest?

  • @pippetto888 Castro? Why on earth is he one of the greatest on earth?

  • @cen0322 one can also hate him, but the historical greatness does not belong to ethics, without ideological prejudices must acknowledge that life is heroic Castro (remember Grandmama?).

  • @pippetto888 Then why not Hitler?

  • @cen0322 of course. I think, the grandiosity is a category that transcends good and evil. The same Count Vlad was a giant (nightowl). otherwise only the saints would be great. But Milton's Lucifer is a mediocre? I do not think

  • @pippetto888 You cannot discount parts of history, he did some great things, as well as some far from great things, ethics are vital to society and how we understand history! They should never be ignored, ethics are a determinant of how people behaved and effected others.

  • @warrinerC This is the dilemma in Dostoevsky's "Crime and Punishment": if Napoleon had killed a young old, it matters so much to the town? No. Austerlitz obliterated everything! Nero is a monster, but it is a great for Imperial Rome (my hometown)? You are right in theory, but in fact the grandiosity is a category that transcends good and evil. Stalin was a giant of history, even if an insane mass murder.

  • Would have been better without your added comments

  • "people always ask if this is about john and i...i knew someone would think that" paul mccartney

  • they're not even trying and they're still making beautiful music

  • This painful to watch. All of em are bored and going through the motions.

  • this song was about paul and linda, not john and paul or any other beatle

  • @beatleboy9020001 The song is a fiction. It isn't about anyone in particular.

  • John and Paul's tribute to the Everly Brothers. What about George on bass?

  • a song about friendship when they hated ech others guts lol... WTF nobody could make Paul a f-ing left handed guitar!

  • @78lecamino McCartney had (and has) lef-handed guitarts.

  • George would of made a good bass player! He sure did a good job with this song! Another reason why this was the best band in the world!

  • Definition of amazing talent, and absolutely legendary....The Beatles!

  • Awesome Song ....

    The Beatles

    Best Band In History .

  • So was this the same version that is found on the LET IT BE album? Was it completely untouched by Spector?

  • @ma7799 Yes, no overdubs on it, but I think it's a different take than the one that ended on the album. This version was recorded a few minutes later.

  • my 5 week old daughter just smiled at me

  • This song brings tears to my eyes but the middle eight puts a quick stop to that, doesn't agree with me, but then i pick-up where i left-off.

  • 0:46 - 0:50 , John chewing like theres no tommorow..<3 lmfaoo asdfghjkl;'

  • This is when Paul was going through a Muslim stage with his facial hair.

  • @rihannarox11 What on earth has to do growing a beard with being muslim? If anything Paul was trying to look like some kind of amish preacher, most suitable look for performing 'Let it be'.

  • @oliaiguambfigues76 take a joke for fuck sake. no he wouldn't do anything for making himself seem suitible for a song. He hated shaving and he went through stages where he just stopped. look it up.

  • Paul is sooo gorgeous in this video! Love you Sir Paul!

  • Who ever said the fab 4 were bored with each other is so wrong.

  • is paul mccartney lefty??

  • Yoko was such a creepy person, always dressed in black sneaking John.

  • @PatentApplied it sounds like she's a NINJA!

  • i see the problem here, yoko.

  • @ureatinghabits how ?

  • @ureatinghabits How is she causing problems? I mean I dont really like Yoko either. I mean she is sitting a little to close to John lol and he seems a little uptight in this video. but at least she wasnt singing with John lol that would cause problems

  • i like the gum chewing dude

  • Nah, George is playing his Telecaster

  • @banahogeorge You're right, but he's only playing the top strings, therefore is playing the bass line in this song.

  • unicos

  • Did The Rutles cover this?

  • Steve Jobs has bring me here ..

  • loving George's bass playing, this is awesome<3 but they all look so depressed..

  • ...two of us!

  • John started to leave his line, then guitar and The Beatles because of Yoko

  • You should take out the comment, "good bass line". You are covering the only moment we see George's face! Wonderful song.

  • George... Theres a perfectly good rickenbacker right next to you... Drop the guitar with the octave pedal, and grab the bass!!

  • @zack2703 its left handed.....

  • @zack2703 the Rickenbacker is left handed.

  • @zack2703 and George is playing a Fender 6 string bass..

  • This is one incredible tune of tunes!

  • Nice! :)

  • George is workin' that bass- wicked good

  • Comment removed

  • Is George playing a Bass VI?

  • @JABILOPsfriend -- Holdenon3 is correct -- George is playing the bass line on a Fender Telcaster -- not a bass. Kind of cool, I never realized it until I saw this clip

  • I do think John was a necessary gravity to Paul's lightweight lyrics. And of course they had George Harrison who is a superstar in any language.

  • The bass line is George on a Telecaster! Awesome!

  • That was some kickass whistling there.

  • This was the last Lennon-McCartney song. It's kind of appropriate. But the entire Let it Be album was so depressing. They look miserable. I'm glad they finished with Abbey Road

  • 0:44 to 1:15 is worth a million dollars.

  • They're all feeling miserable and they produce one of the true classics of the late 20th century..

  • george playing bass

  • I thought it was funny George playing bass on his telecaster..classic! Long Live the Beatles!

  • Steven Jobs mentioned this song when someone asked him about the friendship with Bill Gates. "You and I have memories longer than the road that stretches out ahead.

  • wow ring was so boreddddd

  • listen the great bass lines played by GEORGE and the another who played the bass is MAGGIE MAE cool guy GEORGE THE MUSICIAN

  • He is chewing gum, what talent aye!

  • It suddenly hit me - is John chewing gum while he is singing this song?

  • @bozo859 - John chewed a lot of gum while he was singing. He was also doing it in the "All You Need Is Love" performance, which was broadcast worldwide. I think I've seen him doing it in other videos too.

  • Paul McCartney my friend....... You are one sexy beast

  • Oh man, Pitbull isn't there, not cool...

  • Join Always The Beatles on facebook !! Remember: Always The Beatles !!

  • four great artist bored with each other

  • Why oh why does Yoko have to be there?

  • @samusic160: The beatles on their worst day weren't better dan the songs in the charts today of sir Paul McCartney! So you think Revolution 9 is better than the whole album driving rain, Anyway (Chaos and Creation in the backyard), Dance tonight and the whole album Memory almost full. from a Beatles fan of 15 years who loves the new songs of sir Paul McCartney!!!

  • @scheinokt what a moron

  • Actually inspired by Paul and Linda, it seems ...

  • ...then we have Yoko T.T

  • Fantastic Song, thanks for the share ian! :o)

  • great song...no one could repeat this..thanks

  • I have to say I appreciate you posting this great song, but I REALLY could have done without the distraction of your pop-ups. Maybe it's just me. I am on my second cup of coffee!!!!

  • and there’s yoko

  • The Beatles on their worst day could produce something so much better then whats on the radio and in the charts today, not that it's hard but it really is a true testament to how good they were and still are.

  • @samusic160 Agree 100%

  • @Stevetheperformer Thanks, to be honest i wasn't expecting to have one of the top comments for this long lol, don't get them often. Sometimes i write comments to see if i can get one of the top ones lol sad i know but it might get my music channel some more publicity. Not that i'm an attention wh*re or anything but it's just nice when more people get to see and hear your work. Thanks to everyone who thumbed up my comment, it was greatly appriciated (yes i know i probably spelt that wrong lol).

  • @samusic160 SO true

  • @samusic160 apart from ringo. he just sucked at lyrics...

  • @GR33TINGSEARTHL1NGS Rngo wasn't a songwriter, and hesaidso himself. Hilyrics rren, though.

  • ringo is disgruntled cause they didn't feed him dogbiscuits that day

  • I'm sure Ringo was a sad foetus

  • waytogoPaul,you'replayingtwo(2)chords,non-bass,whoop-di-doo!!!!!!!!!

  • @jlennon2010 george is playing the bass, paul the acustic guitar and lennon the electric guitar... well, ringo the drumms too

  • @santy10596 No, it's Paul & John both on acoustic, George on electric. No real bass.

  • Ringo spread's his enthusiasm

  • i dont get the 27 dislikes. why listen to thisif you didnt like this. the only thing that we should dislike are the new people that become rock stars over night. haters are given a job to make sure no losers like justin bieber and rebecca black to become popular. (i mean yeah i could like justin bieber if sang better)(the only real thing i hate about justin bieber is the fucken fans, they're anoying as fuck)(yeah i trolled but it must be said)

  • @Shadowpuppet7x Dude, instead of using a euphemism, just say there were 27 retards who missed the like button, because only retards can miss that button

  • George Harrison can play bass on a guitar

  • @93cian - Anybody can do that. All you have to do is set your amp and guitar properly.

  • Yaa HOOO

  • i love this song, im in a Beatles mood, while WATCHINHG jeopRDY, ON THIS FRIDAY NIGHT

  • i love when i can acturally picture what they are doing during a song and i love that george is on base and i story within this song its so amazing

  • Great job on the bass George :)

  • They were brilliant...so fing brilliant.

  • Nice to see this after so long.

  • The lyrics and harmony are outstanding on their own merit but George's "bass line" just sends it way over the top! Phenomenal work.

  • favorite beatles song..... the bass is the reason.... way to go george

  • pretty sure ringo was stoned out of his mind xP

  • is george using his guitar as the bassline?

  • @legopfw620 Paul usually plays bass......George plays rhythm and lead.....but on this one (first time Ive seen this video) George is playing basslines on lower strings of a Telecaster. Works great :*)

  • Ringo:"why it doesn't three of us? :("

  • I love every song by the beatles (within revolution 9) and I agree with @ShareTheMike - the critics are fools, John,Paul,George and Ringo are the best band ever

  • @Beatlefancz i wanted to say except revolution 9

  • The Beatles were best friends until Yoko Ono appeared... JohnGeorgePaul&Ringo FOREVER!

  • love the song, hate the sadness in them (george is not even looking up to the camera at all, ringo is looking depressed, Paul and John are sort of like saying to one another, well best friend, is that it then? :'''''(

  • SCREW those 'thought bubbles.' One guy can pay a fee, put up his cute comment and ruin the vid for everyone.

  • george is playing the bass line on his guitar !! how cool is that ? beatles music is still as good as anything out there today. the best lyrics and melodic songwriting ! never goes out of style !

  • You and I have memories

Longer than the road that stretches out ahead

Sounds like hes talking about him and george because they have known each other the longest

  • "Don't fall asleep Ringo" LOL

  • my love for the beatles brought me here... not steve jobs

  • Your word balloons ruined this great song.

  • who's playing bass?!!

  • @barnacleboymtk

George is playing a bass line :)

  • @guitarmaster1ish Ah yes, George of course. I see now. Thankyou!

  • @barnacleboymtk George is on the low strings of a guitar.

  • What a great song, what a great group (BEATLES) shore wish I was born in that generation, They still are KINGS and still dominate radio worldwide...

  • Ringo's bored but they all knew it was all over by now.
