  • It's an automatic and it was so long ago I have no idea!! Last week I went up there in a Disco3 and used 2nd low.

Get out of the theory and go laning - if it doesn't work in one gear try another - there's plenty to choose from:-)

  • At the part from 1:45 to about 2 what gear would you be in? Have driven a few off road pay and play days and green lanes through out the country, and have never used 1st gear low range, I always thought that you only really use 1st for rock crawling and defending slopes so what gear where you in and when do you use 1st? Can anyone help?

  • oops- rather dan-bars might be a more appropriate word to use here? my bad

  • I've got one word, "steering guard" OK well two.... Nice vid btw...recently gotten me a nice (old) LR 90 station wagon- 1985 great vehicles....

  • my disco is all prepared but with 5 kids i dont get the time and iv spent 5 grand on mine getting it ready suppose it will last me for ever if it never goes laning but when i watch these vids it gives me peace of mind that my family are travelling in a machine which could save are lifes one day every one should have a land rover by law lol cool vids thanks for sharing !!!!

  • Great videos!

  • Your videos are amazing, I knew Defenders were extremely capable off road but not to the extent of some of the terrain shown in your videos! Superb footage too! I want a Defender badly now!!

  • real good vid mate looking forward to trying something that difficult myself one day

  • Fuckin 'ell! What's that at 0:30 !?

  • Viking cows? ;)

  • @widget3 Omg.. that's crazy big, you dont find wild cows like that here in California lmao..and none of our forest areas look at all like the Lake Distrcit's

  • highland cow haaha :)

  • @purplezebra buffalo lol

  • what gear were you using mainly for the rock crawling bits? Dont get many lanes like those in the Midlands!

  • Regular cars with Mud Terrains - not too difficult, just needs a bit of care;) Beats the Midlands on all counts!

  • Great vid :) , what cam mount did you use ?

  • A compact alloy triple suction mount - google fastfilms. Mounts on the inside of the winscreen.

  • Many thanks for that :) Ill see how the pennys are looking and prob buy one for my trips lanning :) .

  • @widget3 Hi, awesome videos! Did you hang the camcorder from the suction mount? If so how did you get rotate the image? Thanks

  • @MrJoho987 Thx. The suction mount goes beneath the camera - using a compact video camera everything is the right way up.

  • Very entertaining enjoyed it a lot, thanks

  • cant wait untill i get my 90 like that, i just need new rims and tyres, chequer plate that sort of stuff. i cant wait!!

  • Chequer plate makes all the difference - I never go laning without it myself.

  • Nice Video.....But which Lanes are they?

  • this is why am selling my gti for a landrover , look how much fun this is , what did he bend underneath the jeep ??

  • Jeep? JEEP!!! It's a Land Rover:)!!

The steering rod bent because it has been starightened before using heat and was weak.

  • That cow at 30 seconds was stood in the exact same place when I went there!

  • I hope it hadn't been nailed there! ;)
