Back to the Future II - SMS - hardest game of all time?

I don't like the music in the game.

i may be imagining this but i also seem to rememer in the last level grabbing hold of biffs ford and getting pulled along by it.

Totlly agree with you on this. My brother owned this on his master system years ago. Me and both of my brothers played in countless times, never getting past even the first level. Honestly, it's ridiculously difficult to go even 10 seconds without dying.

Even today, all these years later, my brother tried playing the game on an emulator - even with access to savestates and what ever other crazy advantages, he still couldn't complete it XD

at least I think it was the ending, I finished this way 3 times more or less, there was no game over message, just a steady picture of the delorean flying with the back to the future logo under it

I don't know if skipping the levels made me go to some kind of bad ending, if there really was one...

I finished this game when I was 7, without cheating, just skipped the levels when i died, there was a option for that, starting at level 2, the game asks you if you want to retry =P

and it's not just 3 levels, its 5

and then at the final level happens something weird: in the end of the stage there is a wall and the old biff, and then your character changes the way where he is going, and there is some kind of rope near the grass, and then you sort of... climb on it... your character slides through it to the top of the screen and then the game ends o__0

@grgar Thats roughy what happened in the movie! Biff is chasing you in his car and you are on the Hover board then doc who is in the Delorean above drops a rope down and hoists mcfly to saftey

@grgar i completed too. the rope is supposed to be the bunting that is hanging off the delorean like at the end of the movie that marty grabs hold of and gets lifted to safety. i did not skip any levels. the first level s really hard but the others are easy in comparison.

skipping levels? probably the atari or another version of the game. this is the SMS version. afaik the 2 other levels in between the 5 are just the puzzle stages, i don't really count those ^^

Probably not that bad if you learned it. Looks easier than Silver Surfer.

Effort put into the music and game itself is so poor, it might as well have just been released as a low grade NES game. Also I don't remember old Biff trying to haul ass after Marty and beat him with his cane in the movie o.o

The music sounds eerie, like your walking in draculas castle, but going in the castle is more soothing than playing this game
