what happens to women we like watching football when we go to Qatar we have to walk all women covered ahy as I do not like, I like to smoke, drink and dress as I want no women dress like that all covered. fifa not think so the other women in the rest of football are dumb. fifa that you do With Us. because if I have to cover my husband and I will not either. FIFA.FIFA WANT ANSWERS

These guys at Fair Shake of the Sauce Bottle have found proof to show who really won the world cup bid for 2022 - sham for sure. fairshakeofthesaucebottlemate d com
whats all this hatred about Qatar just because a islamic state has won the right to host we have all this pricks making statement fuck u all u son of bastards congrats Qatar u show em how its done
Qatar in summer is the warmest place on earth. About 40-45°C in the summer. So in this case arabic/african teams would be in advantage compared to european/american team. This is just crazy and unfair. Qatar is a mafia state governed by petrodollars of fucking retarted and arrogant sheiks who keep their people in misery. What have you to do in Qatar? A part from desert, camel riding and things like this? What does it offers to a turist from Europe or US? This is the sickest bid never heard.
I was born in Qatar, but now live in Austrlia, i guess the 2022, gives me an excuse to visit family there, even though i wanted Austrlaia to get the CUP homebase
FUCK OFF QATAR! AUS OR US SHOULD HAVE HAD IT. NOT SOME NONAME ARAB COUNTRY! FUCKING BULLSHIT. KEEP BRIBING QATAR YOU"ll NEVER BE AS GOOD AS US OR AUSTRALIA.
FUCK QATAR! This is seriously the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. I know Qatar didn't qualify in 2010 but does anyone know if they ever have? This pick makes no sense. When Qatar does not qualify in 2022 the whole world will be laughing.
did the fifa board consider security threats? They offer an air conditioned arena, but what about outside of the arena. Its in the middle-east where terrorism is primarily seen!!
prepare for the most boring world cup ever for fans. the country is doha and desert and thats it. drinking laws are extremely strict and you will do all sightseeing in 2 or so days. there is nothing there. also, what if the air conditioning systems fail? will definately not be going, been there for wc qualifiers for australia and i hated it. heat is unbearable, boring as hell.
@hochsr Stop being a cry baby .. next time Australia makes a bid take out the kangaroos and koalas in your videos and maybe you will have more chance to win an event.. OH i love the way the idiots across australia stood outside and thought they were going to win the event.. the missery on your faces is the same missery i see when your team is playing in the world cup and loses matches .. hahaha
Shame on Fifa letting a backward muslim country host The biggest sporting event in the world.. This desert climate with 50+ temperatures has no history of football and is ony hosting it for some cash.. Qatar are going to invest 40Billion in this compertion and maybe they should give it to the poor instead??
4.) Weak football (a gift to any country in their bracket)
5.) Corrupt prostitution rings and major abuse of women
6.) Unprepared venues and stadiums.
the list goes on.
they are preparing to build 12 new major stadiums over the next few years. This is retarded. Football popularity in Qatar is about as popular as the song to this video in Qatar. Overturn this plz
@ArsenalFan20007 Why? Cause Qatar has unlimited liquid and solid assets to dispense as they please? So a country is corrupt if it spends on improving its infrastructure and bringing education, awareness and culture not only to its own Country but others surrounding it? Is that what makes Qatar corrupt...What's your take on the US and the recent policies of socialised health-care? Pretty corrupt too I guess.
YES! Helping millions of people who can't afford health care able to afford it now is SOOO corrupt! Out of all the damn examples in the world you pick that one?! Wow.... Also, I'm not saying Qatar is bad, but compared to the US bid... Ya, Qatar is a shit choice. They did a full evaluation taking into account infrastructure, transportation, hotels, resorts, stadiums, financial gain, risk, etc.... Qatar had the worst evaluation of all the bids... yet it was picked
@ArsenalFan20007 Ofcourse I picked that example. It's what the Obama administration is trying to do to reform and help it's citizenry right? So why can't Qatar do the same? They put in bids just like everyone else and they won it fair and square. There was no conspiracy an no bribery. Trust me, I know enough people who know/are involved with the Royal Family from Qatar to know that they were just as shocked with the decision for 2022 as was the rest of the world. They didn't expect it....
@ArsenalFan20007 ....FIFA is about football, not world politics an the decision to bid for 2022 was a purely patriotic one an in the spirit of the sport. To bring Football to the Middle East were millions of kids (including me) grew up playing the sport an watching "Captain Majed" after school. The entire reason the US and AUS wanted FIFA in their respective countries was to stimulate their economy. Period. They don't even have decent teams. Where as in Qatar and the rest of the Arab world....
@ArsenalFan20007 ....The reason for their bids was economic not in the spirt of sport. You think Qatar is going to make money from this? Most probably not. Because their are going to spend 10 times more than the US or AUS and are not in it for the profit. Because the reality is, with the amount of wealth they have they don't need to worry about profit. So the motive isn't money. I know this cause I worked for their airlines and they'd loose millions daily but operate because Qatar Air....
@ArsenalFan20007 ....Is a means to raise the profile of the country globally. Not a means to generate profit. You're talking about US infrastructure. What is US infrastructure? It's over 30 years old an in terrible conditions. Have you been on the NYC subway line or the one in Chicago lately?? I have. It's sordid. Ever thing you've listed is there in Qatar. Except a transport system. Which was already being considered and the idea was pitched to the government before the 2022 bid was put in....
@ArsenalFan20007 ....2 years ago. And they have 12 years now to bring their infra structure up to standard. Which they'd already started to do irrespective of the 2022 bid as of 5 years ago. So tell me. You're talking about financial gain. US and AUS had the most to gain financially because the infra structure is pre-existing. Not Qatar because they`ll end up spending more than making in the end. So the logical conclusion is that they did it for something else...namely the spirt of the sport....
@ArsenalFan20007 ...You talk about risks. I lived there. I partied there. I know gay men and women there and they and I went about our lives there to NO LEGAL CONSEQUENCE. During my stay there Israeli players came an participated sport. Yes woman can`t prance around in Bikini`s on the street except on beaches and pools but let me pose this question to you....Is it appropriate for a burqa clad woman to be on the beach. No. It`s not right? Because it would make everyone uncomfortable because....
@ArsenalFan20007 ....She's not accepting that fact that her outfit is not in deference to the place she's in. Now no one is asking her to don a bikini on the beach. But there are other ways to remain covered up on the beach (like millions of non-Moslem woman do who aren't comfortable with their bodies) without sticking out and possible making other people conscious. SO flip the situation, is it appropriate for a woman to walk around with her breasts falling out if all the woman around her in....
@ArsenalFan20007 ....Qatar are covered up, whether it's due to custom and/or religion? NO it's not. That's as simple as that. Is called being respectful of cultural differences. When we go to Japan we are give a barrage of rules an etiquettes to keep in mind. Are we not? Women still aren't considered equal and the sex-exploitation there one of the highest in the world. No one calls that a human rights violation. And it's an issue largely ignore. It's easy to raise this issue in the Arab/Islamic.
@ArsenalFan20007 ...world because Islamic/Arab violation of human rights is an issue a la mode theses days. But everyone chooses to ignore the scores of positive things present in the Islamic/Arab world. If US or AUS had won, I'd have been happy for them. Not bashing them an touting conspiracy. It's SAD that there is 99.9% genetic similarity between humans and 98% between us and chimpanzee, yet we focus on our differences to such a degree that we end up behaving like chimps. I blame all of us..
@ArsenalFan20007 ...So just like Obama's health care reform isn't corrupt (I'd like to see how this plays out in 10 years and how many people get tax breaks and who gets indicted when the real reasons come forth), bring the youth of he Middle East closer to each other thru sport INCLUDING Israel (because regardless of however many Russian and Europeans move to Israel, it's still is in the Middle East and a predominantly Arab-State) and perhaps breaking decade old barriers and help in solving ...
I seriously don't understand why FIFA would give the World Cup to a nation that has so many people barely surviving day-to-day, a nation with human rights problems, poor existing infrastructure, and a lower financial gain.... which is what FIFA as an organization only cares about.... I guess the representatives like to fill their pockets 1st, instead of having FIFA make money
@ArsenalFan20007 ...this conflict between Israel and the Arab world that up till now has had a very human cost on BOTH sides. That's the reason why Qatar got 2022. And they will be successful because they have a vision, something YOU an people like YOU clearly lack. Step back once in a while and try to look at the bigger picture. It's not always going to be about money and oil. I don't expect you to understand any of this...So don't even BOTHER replying.
2: Qatar 2022 will do something that other world cups have not
3: Obama's healthcare bill will be bad in the end (It helps out the less fortunate, oh!! how HORRIBLE! oh no!)
A nation that has NEVER qualified for a World Cup should not be hosting it! I hope they get smashed 5-0 every game in the group stage and finish with the worst record for a host nation, because thats all a non-football nation deserves
I could have done the same fake ass shit that Qatar did for their bid. I could have done their whole presentation using Adobe Aftereffects and Sony Vegas..... When is a cartoon a vision? Anybody can DREAM, and yes, Qatar has many rich people... But they should worry about helping the poor of their nation before spending extravagently.... Do you know their plan for AC? To come out with new technology that will help use solar power, promises they may not be able to keep.
What do they plan to do with the stadiums after the World Cup? The seats will be donated to other stadiums in places like Africa.... Bullshit!!! These rich oil guys don't share with their own countrymen, they are going to share with a different continent? The stadiums will go to waste, Qatar football sucks and these stadiums will cease to function just a few years after the World Cup
@ArsenalFan20007 On what source and information do you have that the Qatari Royal Family doesn't take care of it's people?? Have you been there? LOL They have free healthcare, are giving land at birth, a landcruiser upon graduation university, a gold rolex upon graduation from highschool, free education to any level they choose to educate themselves weather in Qatar or abroad, free gas, free electricity, a marriage gift from the King
Your facts are SOOOOO wrong if you think Qatar's human rights are fine. Try thinking about how immigrants are treated and can be easily thrown into modern-day slavery. You know nothing about 90+% of the population that will be attending the games at the World Cup... foreigners. The human rights for foreign workers are ridiculously stupid. I can list some in the next comment but, theres a MASSIVE list of improper human rights
@ArsenalFan20007 Qatar has the highest GDP per caita along with Luxembourg and Lichtenstein. You clearly have no idea what you're taking about since there is no such thing as a "poor" Qatari. So you're full of shit. The government takes care of it's people to an excruciatingly high degree..More so than USA "Land of the free". So shut it.
As for the donations....Do you have any clue how much Qatar as a country donates per year...?? To impoverished nations all over the world? You don't.
You do realize they are thinking about having the 2022 World Cup in January because of the INTENSE heat..... UEFA is trying to see how the schedule will be.... Ruining tradition, thats always a good thing isn't it? Or, they could give the World Cup to a place where the official evaluation of FIFA wasn't horrible and a place where another nation has not hosted it, Australia. Maybe you should see the evaluation FIFA gave to Qatar.... Horrendous!
Continuation: Btw, I'm not American. Also, the rich of America do not allow the nation to become more socialized and less of a free market. It has nothing to do with the government. In fact, Obama has been trying to pass bills to do the opposite. The rich in the House and Senate are disallowing change. Also, Qatar still holds an absolute monarchic government and any nation who still has a monarchy system are like slaves as it started because the royalty was "between Man and God" in greatness
2: Being a Tax Haven, a massive foreign invested nation, and having a major part of the lower class residing in other nations, allows Qatar to uphold that high GDP. GDP today is calculated with error that is unavoidable due to things like this.
8: Population differences: Australia: 21,515,754.... Qatar: 840,926 (Some are non-citizens)... (CIA Factbook)
9: Huge shortage of females (Men/Female ratio is around 3! which means the population stat above is in fact largely influenced by the lower class workers who do not live in the country
10: The FIFA Youth Championship in 1981 had no real talent as the tournament meant MUCH less back then than it does now.
Qatar does not fully comply with the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking and is not making significant efforts to do so. Qatar continues to detain and deport victims rather than providing them with protection. The government also failed to meaningfully increase prosecutions for trafficking. Workers who complained about working conditions or non-payment of wages were sometimes penalized and prosecuted under false charges in retaliation.
@ArsenalFan20007 So I'm not gonna bother with you because you clearly have no idea what you're talking about and don't have your facts straight. Get your shit together and then come talk to me.
Continuation: Iran and Qatar signed an agreement to both improve their defenses... They signed this with IRAN!!! The 2nd most targeted nation in the World by the UN Security Council. They have defended Iran's right to have nuclear power and state its for peaceful purposes. Yet Iran has 1 of the greatest energy reserves in the World in the form of natural gas. It would only waste billions to continue their research for nuclear power..... Continued
@ArsenalFan20007 To judge whether or not the Youth FIFA is "real" or not. It's owned by FIFA and is recognised as an official event. Qatar hosted the ASIAN GAMES a few years ago and will do it again soon. So there goes your argument about Qatar not hosting "Olympic" level competitions. As for what Iran does is it's own business an I can't really comment on that. Qatar actually has the largest reserves of natural gas in the world an we even sell to Israel....
@ArsenalFan20007 And are the only GCC Arab nation to have relations with Israel diplomatically. So go figure. As for "labour trafficking" there is no such thing in Qatar because of the strict laws of the Labour court. Everyone comes and goes of their own free will. Ofcourse there are people that break the law, but not to the extent that you are quoting. I've lived there. I've seen an talked to "labour" from all aspects of life...You're just reading facts. So again, you don't know what....
@ArsenalFan20007 you're talking about. So I'm going to give this a rest. You think the USA or Australia would have been a better choice. Good for you. They didn't get it. We did. 12 years from now when I'll be in Qatar hanging out in my house with my buddies and drinking with the FIFA players post matches in the clubs all over Doha, you'll be sitting at home infront of your telly and eating your words. So this is the end of this argument. You're entitled to your opinion and I wish you well. S.
So... I don't know my facts? I never lose an argument because I know the facts. I know for a fact that you have not seen the official FIFA evaluation for Qatar and Australia, both nations and areas that have never hosted a World Cup. 1 of them has had practice hosting big events as 1 of them hosted the Olympics, reasonable climate, majority of the nation is not a desert, good human rights, good infrastructure, much better evaluation from FIFA and have actually played in a World Cup
@ArsenalFan20007 This is futile. You again clearly have demonstrated your ineptitude in matters of research. Qatar is not Saudi. While women can't walk around topless on the streets they do have the freedom to choose how they dress as long as it's modest an not offensive to Islam. So no low cleavage an transparent clothes but the rest it okay. The clothing rule applies to men as well might I add. Nothing transparent an if you walk on the street topless you're asking for trouble...
Idiot, I was asking about the clothing laws, I didn't state them. Learn to read. I took the CIA Factbook for population stats!!! CIA know that stat like the back of their hands. Asian Games are not even close to the Olympics as the preperation and $ needed is far greater.
@ArsenalFan20007 But on a beach anything is fair game. There are clubs, bars and pubs and alcohol is sold to the expat public. We're not as archaic and Neanderthal as you may like us or think us to be. And if the "CIA World Fact Book" is where you're getting the bulk of your information....LOL then we're really going to have to agree to disagree on this.
Yes I saw the evaluation. Yes FIFA took a chance like it has with many countries in the past. You're not in any position....
LOL! So the UN is wrong about the human rights difficulties non-citizen workers have in Qatar?! You know nothing compared to the UN. The non-citizens have no problem leaving the nation, problem is getting their fair wages. You think your the only 1 to have been in Qatar. I visit all around the world and can easily say that Qatar's laws need big changes and Australia and US would have been much better choices. At the end, Qatar bribed FIFA officials, nothing new about FIFA there.
Btw, look at 2 of the supporters of the Qatar bid... Pep Guardiola and Johan Cruyff, both of whom did not even support their home nation bids for the 2018 World Cup....2 weeks after Qatar won the bid, Barcelona announces they will have a paid sponser on their jerseys for the 1st time (UNICEF was done for free)... the company... Qatar Foundation.... $30 million each year will be Barca's profit from the sponsership.... Guardiola and Cruyff... both work for Barca... corruption? ya
1.) Israel is, was and always will be an Arab state as well as a Jewish states because if you go far back enough, they're on in the same. There's a reason they're both called Abrahamic religions. Idiot. What'd you think Israel is? A European state, an Asian one? Or an African perhaps.
2.) It will. Wait and watch.
3.) It will. Wait and watch.
4.) They did qualify for the Fifa youth in 81. They were finalists.
@ArsenalFan20007 Have you visited Qatar? No. When you do, well talk. Till then don't for opinions on what the "UN" and "CIA Factbook" tells you. Two of the most corrupt organisations in the world.
I do agree with you that the UN is corrupt and the CIA, I wouldn't really call it corruption. Anyways, FIFA is extremely corrupt!!!! Its own former president during 1970 said a few years ago that the 66' and 70' World Cups were rigged!!!! Players have gone and said they were bribed in 2004... South Korea in 2000! There is so much corruption in FIFA, and the Qatar bid is just another case.... Btw, I have been to enough countries to know that Qatar is nowhere near being a good choice
@suhaib1984 ...Football is a serious sport and has been for many many years. There are championship level matches at an international level. The US calls the sport "soccer" an has one team that's more celebrity than sport. "LA Galaxy". It's a joke. And AUS is more into Rugby and Australian Rules Football. "Soccer" isn't a widely popular sport there as is Cricket or Tennis or AFL or Aussie Rules Rugby. That's a FACT. I know cause I have enough Aussie friends have been there. The reasons for.....
2 worst bids got the World Cup!!! Qatar and Russia have to build everything from scratch whereas Portugal and Spain have more 5 star UEFA Champions League Final approved stadiums than any other nation!
@ArsenalFan20007 their bids were far from bad - they may not have the infrastructure but they do have 8-12 years to build it and they obviously have a good plan set to do so or they wouldn't have won.
Spain already had the World Cup once, why should they keep giving the same countries the rights to host, over and over again? Football is for everyone and Russia and Qatar are capable of hosting them. I'm dissapointed that Australia lost, but they won, so congratulations are in order.
Exactly... They need to build everything still. Portugal and Spain could literally host the World Cup tomorrow if FIFA wanted to. What can I say... FIFA officials like to have some extra cash in their bank accounts
@ArsenalFan20007 you seem to miss the point. Sure, Spain could host the world cup tomorrow, but you're missing one key fact, the fact that the World Cup IS NOT tomorrow, its in 8 long years. So whether Spain has the stadiums to host it tomorrow or not does not matter, its a moot point.
Now, since both Russia and Spain is going to have the stadiums in 8 years time (when the world cup is, remember, not tomorrow), why should Spain get yet another world cup when Russia hasn't held one yet?
Why Portugal/Spain over Russia? Higher chance of success.... Better transportation... Better hotels.... Better resorts and tourist spots.... Better stadiums.... More revenue received.... Less spending for the nation.... These are key factors in hosting a World Cup.... Ur forgetting, Portugal hasn't hosted a World Cup and Spain would be perfect, no1 gives a shit that they already hosted it b4 bcuz they are by far the best footballing nation at this time and will be by then probably
@ArsenalFan20007 who's team is better luckily has no weight when selecting the host of the world cup, it wouldn't be fair if it were. Secondly, I've been to Spain and I agree its a great place to visit. That being said I've also always been fascinated by Russia, it does have a lot of natural beauty and in my opinion the architecture on display is second to none. So I beg to disagree, Russia is a perfectly good candidate to host the world cup, its perfectly capable to do so and is great to visit.
I'm sure that qatar can build the best stadiums in the world because they have money and no hassle with building and so on, just have a look at how quick they have expanded and built so many skyscrapers. The only problem i think that in those places there is no football atmosphere.
Whahahahahahahahah, Okay, Russia it's a decent choice, but seriously WTF has Qatar has to do with football ??? And I hope it will be held in the winter period, because in the supper in can get around 50 degrees Celsius. There is no fucking way that it's possible to football in that kind of temperature. Good luck corrupt arab assholes
A tiny country with a harsh and backward religion.....what's on FIFA's oldmen's minds to choose that shithole?.....I'm Brazilian and was rooting for Australian bid.....I imagine many supporters being put in a jail after drinking a lot or a guy kissing one girl at the beach.
@VoiajorBRAZILIA as an Australian I obviously was hoping for Australia to win, I really felt we deserved it. That being said, there is no need for the abusive remarks, they won, so congratulations are in order. Spreading stereotypes simply isn't in the spirit of the game and everyone deserves their chance, hopefully Australia's will come before too long.
0% you arabs are going to get this keep dreaming.
England 2018
Australia 2022
simple as that. i hear if you got it you would aircondition pitches? rofl that is a complete joke. maybe you should stick to bribing people to get your way.
@Mercenarystar racist much, I two am supporting the England bid, but even though I live in Australia and would love to see the cup come here, their bid has many major problems, it clashes with other nationwide sporting events, there is a lack of venues available, they are not willing to put in as much money and the Gold Coast is already the favourite to host the 2018 Commonwealth Games, also FIFA is currently known to be attempting to push into the Middle Eastern world
It's not a matter of a big or small Stadiums ,or hot and cold weather , its a matter of players and audience safety , the gulf countries governments are not qualified to protect the players or the audience , the middle east is a dangerous place and its not safe i don't recommend that the World Cop would be in any Arab country unless the peace issues are solved.
@yaroti Have you ever been to Middle east ? Especially Qatar ? IF u dont know anything about a country...or have not ever visited ..then ShUT the HEll up ...Qatar is one of the safest countries in the world..if u want google it up ...! Peace issues are solved ?KAKKAKA u know nothing about Qatar !! Just a mere illiterate !
@yaroti What exactly ? :S You come to qatar....and see the safety here...i thnk football is more unsafe in Italy ...and europe with fans threatning players and coach unlike the people from middleast !
@yaroti I smell jealousy around here from a filthy Iranian traitor with a stinky ass and tuna breath, your country is messed up , you are just jealous cuz the arabian gulf are living in peace with almost everyone and welcome everybody. i like Qatar all arabian gulf countries and wish them a prosperous and bright future for ever.
@yaroti Go complain to your ahmadinjad , your country is poor and polluted, nuclear threatenting and dangerious, no one goes there .you are the real terrorists. what a shameless country.

Use of the term Arabian Gulf is illegal and false.
The correct name is Persian Gulf, and always will be. The Arab countries who want so badly to use the false name only embarrass themselves and show that they are uncivilized thieves.
They commit such a big crime changing the namne from PERSIAN GULF

prepare for the most boring world cup ever for fans. the country is doha and desert and thats it. drinking laws are extremely strict and you will do all sightseeing in 2 or so days. there is nothing there. also, what if the air conditioning systems fail? will definately not be going, been there for wc qualifiers for australia and i hated it. heat is unbearable, boring as hell.

This desert climate with 50+ temperatures has no history of football and is ony hosting it for some cash.. Qatar are going to invest 40Billion in this compertion and maybe they should give it to the poor instead??

Corruption at its finest
ArsenalFan20007 1 year ago
@ArsenalFan20007 Why? Cause Qatar has unlimited liquid and solid assets to dispense as they please? So a country is corrupt if it spends on improving its infrastructure and bringing education, awareness and culture not only to its own Country but others surrounding it? Is that what makes Qatar corrupt...What's your take on the US and the recent policies of socialised health-care? Pretty corrupt too I guess.
Idiot.
S.
suhaib1984 1 year ago
@suhaib1984
ArsenalFan20007 1 year ago
@ArsenalFan20007 Ofcourse I picked that example. It's what the Obama administration is trying to do to reform and help it's citizenry right? So why can't Qatar do the same? They put in bids just like everyone else and they won it fair and square. There was no conspiracy an no bribery. Trust me, I know enough people who know/are involved with the Royal Family from Qatar to know that they were just as shocked with the decision for 2022 as was the rest of the world. They didn't expect it....
suhaib1984 1 year ago
@ArsenalFan20007 ....FIFA is about football, not world politics an the decision to bid for 2022 was a purely patriotic one an in the spirit of the sport. To bring Football to the Middle East were millions of kids (including me) grew up playing the sport an watching "Captain Majed" after school. The entire reason the US and AUS wanted FIFA in their respective countries was to stimulate their economy. Period. They don't even have decent teams. Where as in Qatar and the rest of the Arab world....
suhaib1984 1 year ago
@ArsenalFan20007 ....The reason for their bids was economic not in the spirt of sport. You think Qatar is going to make money from this? Most probably not. Because their are going to spend 10 times more than the US or AUS and are not in it for the profit. Because the reality is, with the amount of wealth they have they don't need to worry about profit. So the motive isn't money. I know this cause I worked for their airlines and they'd loose millions daily but operate because Qatar Air....
suhaib1984 1 year ago
@ArsenalFan20007 ....Is a means to raise the profile of the country globally. Not a means to generate profit. You're talking about US infrastructure. What is US infrastructure? It's over 30 years old an in terrible conditions. Have you been on the NYC subway line or the one in Chicago lately?? I have. It's sordid. Ever thing you've listed is there in Qatar. Except a transport system. Which was already being considered and the idea was pitched to the government before the 2022 bid was put in....
suhaib1984 1 year ago
@ArsenalFan20007 ....2 years ago. And they have 12 years now to bring their infra structure up to standard. Which they'd already started to do irrespective of the 2022 bid as of 5 years ago. So tell me. You're talking about financial gain. US and AUS had the most to gain financially because the infra structure is pre-existing. Not Qatar because they`ll end up spending more than making in the end. So the logical conclusion is that they did it for something else...namely the spirt of the sport....

It's easy to raise this issue in the Arab/Islamic.
suhaib1984 1 year ago
@ArsenalFan20007 ...world because Islamic/Arab violation of human rights is an issue a la mode theses days. But everyone chooses to ignore the scores of positive things present in the Islamic/Arab world. If US or AUS had won, I'd have been happy for them. Not bashing them an touting conspiracy. It's SAD that there is 99.9% genetic similarity between humans and 98% between us and chimpanzee, yet we focus on our differences to such a degree that we end up behaving like chimps. I blame all of us..

Qatar does not fully comply with the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking and is not making significant efforts to do so. ArsenalFan20007 1 year ago
Qatar actually has the largest reserves of natural gas in the world an we even sell to Israel....
suhaib1984 1 year ago
@ArsenalFan20007 And are the only GCC Arab nation to have relations with Israel diplomatically. So go figure. As for "labour trafficking" there is no such thing in Qatar because of the strict laws of the Labour court. Everyone comes and goes of their own free will. Ofcourse there are people that break the law, but not to the extent that you are quoting. I've lived there. I've seen an talked to "labour" from all aspects of life...You're just reading facts. So again, you don't know what....
suhaib1984 1 year ago
@ArsenalFan20007 you're talking about. So I'm going to give this a rest. You think the USA or Australia would have been a better choice. Good for you. They didn't get it. We did. 12 years from now when I'll be in Qatar hanging out in my house with my buddies and drinking with the FIFA players post matches in the clubs all over Doha, you'll be sitting at home infront of your telly and eating your words. So this is the end of this argument. You're entitled to your opinion and I wish you well. S.
suhaib1984 1 year ago
@suhaib1984
ArsenalFan20007 1 year ago
@ArsenalFan20007 This is futile. You again clearly have demonstrated your ineptitude in matters of research. Qatar is not Saudi. While women can't walk around topless on the streets they do have the freedom to choose how they dress as long as it's modest an not offensive to Islam. So no low cleavage an transparent clothes but the rest it okay. The clothing rule applies to men as well might I add. Nothing transparent an if you walk on the street topless you're asking for trouble...
suhaib1984 1 year ago
@suhaib1984

2 worst bids got the World Cup!!! Qatar and Russia have to build everything from scratch whereas Portugal and Spain have more 5 star UEFA Champions League Final approved stadiums than any other nation!
ArsenalFan20007 1 year ago
@ArsenalFan20007 their bids were far from bad - they may not have the infrastructure but they do have 8-12 years to build it and they obviously have a good plan set to do so or they wouldn't have won.
Spain already had the World Cup once, why should they keep giving the same countries the rights to host, over and over again? Football is for everyone and Russia and Qatar are capable of hosting them. I'm dissapointed that Australia lost, but they won, so congratulations are in order.
Elmaln 1 year ago
@Elmaln
Exactly... They need to build everything still. Portugal and Spain could literally host the World Cup tomorrow if FIFA wanted to. What can I say... FIFA officials like to have some extra cash in their bank accounts
ArsenalFan20007 1 year ago
@ArsenalFan20007 you seem to miss the point. Sure, Spain could host the world cup tomorrow, but you're missing one key fact, the fact that the World Cup IS NOT tomorrow, its in 8 long years. So whether Spain has the stadiums to host it tomorrow or not does not matter, its a moot point.
Now, since both Russia and Spain is going to have the stadiums in 8 years time (when the world cup is, remember, not tomorrow), why should Spain get yet another world cup when Russia hasn't held one yet?
Elmaln 1 year ago
@Elmaln
ArsenalFan20007 1 year ago

@yaroti you clearly soak up too much TV and are naive enough to believe it all.

SHAME ON YOU!!
