  • Hell no

  • dfy dfs DUFSg dfsg ihdfa

  • Dang this vid is 3 years old I thoght u said u would take it down in a day On a side note I would totaly take the iPod sience now the Ipod is worth about 190 (because it is a 16 gb not an 8) and the Iphone one u have ( I'm guessing iPhone 1 because this vid is old and it looks like one whith the gray and black) it us worth like 55. Hope u made the right choice.

  • I'm glad you didn't!

  • no dont sell the iPhone cause its exactly the same but with no phone features or camera!!!

  • yes.

  • did u say yes?

  • Comment removed

  • ur an idiot if u sell it the iphones are worth 500 to 600 dollars att only sells it to 300 by making you sign a contract

  • You should keep the iphone! A way to help get better typing is to use a pencil eraser

  • keep the iphone it has more stuff it i have an ipod touch iphone is better

  • dude i dont get all that technical stuff lol just do what you feel is right? lol

  • yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes

  • I would keep the iPhone.

  • i thought u had a 8gb black ipod??

  • Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • keep the iphone. i love mine especially with the new update. i hade the pantech duo, which broke down and my aunt had the tilt, and the screen was touched so easily. but i gues it doesnt matter. what did u do?

  • say this to the guy

    HELL NO

  • said this is the guy

    HELL NO

  • DON'T DO IT!!!

Looks like im a little late LOL.

    What'd u end up doing???

  • YES do it trade the iphone in dude

  • HELL NO

  • what did you end up doing?

  • Keep the Iphone

  • you should have sold it and got a q or a tilt

  • did you end up keeping your iPhone?

  • no money but i would if i did

  • keep your iphone!

  • what did you do??? did u kep your iphone

  • was it eckofish who asked you?

i'd, honestly, keep the iPhone b/c the only difference between iPod touch & iPhone is the phone. yeah, iPhone has direct access to weather & stocks, but you could probably look that up on safari, too. And, if s/he lives far away from you, don't b/c s/he could be lying. but if it's a neighbor, still, take my advice

  • so what did you do?

  • hey so did u change it yet form iphone to itouch and the iphone is better than the itouch

  • Well, you can also use safari on the ipod touch so if that is the only thing you like about it, then why not. But keep in mind, its only 16 gigs. If you really don't like the iphone that much, then why not. The Motorola Q is great. If you really don't like your iphone, then why not.

  • don't do it

  • I hope you didn't sell!

  • Also, I suppose you are used to cell phones but not PDA's. The iPhone requires you to be familiar with PDA's and the lack of a keyboard is something that PDA people say "it is the best thing in the world" and Cell phone users say "it's not good".

  • Buddy, i would suggest saying no, no and no.

You got an iPhone which is an iPod touch with a phone and more, you can carry only one thing in your pocket and u have it all, rather than , the ipod and the phone if you are going for a walk with the dog or something, many people see a huge memory in an ipod as an advantage but actually, nobody listens to several gigabytes of music at the same time, anyway, it is your choice, good luck!!

  • Dont do it... What you need is in your iPhone..

  • Go for it! You can get a smartphone really cheap now! And you get twice the capacity as well as well as Safari and Wi-Fi.

  • Yeah get the Touch and a New Cellphone.

  • Guys jon4lakers kept his iphone . cause the guy backout. :)

  • Take it, and since you have the touch, the touch has internet over wi-fi anyway, so you won't miss out on the Safari features of your iPhone.

  • take the itouch

  • i miss u jon, hope ull post a new vdo soon!

  • just posted one!

  • If you don't use like edge and stuff on the iPhone, get the iPod Touch but i would personally keep the iPhone cuz its just so much cooler

  • i would ge the tilt

  • i think i might

  • Keep the iphone!

  • DON'T DO IT!!

    what was your final decision?

  • well i dont think it's worth it cause the iphone is way better but the only catch to it is that its to much a month i have one and my fund is almost dead but really i would just keep it and with your airport extrem u can just use that instead of edeg with a big bill of internet but really it's up to u in the end wether u keep it or not

  • Don't do it. the freedom of having the cell network I think is one of the best things. even if edge is slow it's there when you need it

  • Do you know the guy well? could be a scam.

  • no way, don't take it. I have an iPod touch and the only thing I'm missing is the phone app... and no way, you'll never get better browsing and mail on any other device than the iphone

  • na dont, i have an ipt all i want is an iphone!! and what would happen to ur att contract?

  • do not do the trade, the iPhone is amazing and the iPod touch is just a ghetto iPhone

  • did you keep the iPhone, i would

  • thats a great deal i would take it and plus the iphone has literally at the same features as the iphone except its not i fone i think its a good deal

  • if yur frustrated with your iphone well.... depends it u have one of the 8gb iphones get the 16gb touch but if yur iphone is 16 or more gb then stick with it

  • yeah. just sell those two and get your 16gb touch. as you know you'll still be able to use safari and use the pictures feature.

  • keep the iphone, from the sounds of it, you dont need another ipod, Good luck!

  • Good Luck Jon!!!!!!!!

  • keep the iphone. you already have a nano and a shuffle.

  • Again guys, thank you all for the advice. The guy I was going to swap with backed out at the last minute. I'm going to pull down this video in the AM.

  • @jon4lakers AM in 2 years lol FAIL?? Was this the 3g iphone you were thinking of selling?! TRAITOR!!!

  • @Neb4444 now its 3 years lol

  • @jon4lakers lol pull it down already :P

  • You will miss the iPhone and possibly go through withdrawal in first few days. Keep in mind there are very few smartphones available that match the iPhone's resolution and user experience. But if good email managing and a qwerty is what you need, then take a good look at the Tilt.

  • I totally understand where you're coming from. Take the iPod Touch and sell the bluetooth and get the Tilt (although I would highly recommend the unlocked TyTN II).

As far as email is concerned there is nothing better than the Outlook on Windows Mobile 6.

  • I have some questions:

-whats so bad abount the keyboard? (I like it)

    - Whats so bad about just going on safari and go to gmail or hotmail, etc? it doesnt take that much time

    thank you

  • This is a hard one. i my self love the iphone but i dont have one. i can sort of see where your going with this, i'd say you still get the fun of the touch screen apple device and a new cell. do it!

  • do it and get the touch the interface is the same!! so u can still surf the net with safari on the touch. get a blackberry instead

  • does a person really need a ipod video.unless ur taken the train daily or something like that.

wot type of image do you want.a guy with the latest phone or a guy with an widescreen ipod and a normal phone lol

keep the phone and wait for updates.

  • go for the touch

  • Get the touch and sell it, then buy anything you want i'd recommend you a Blackberry

    See ya!

  • Hey guys, thank you all for your advice. As luck would have it, the guy I was going to swap with backed out, making my decision that much easier!

It's nice to know I can count on this community for help though.

  • What did you do???

  • Jon read the following.

Get the iPod and hack it so you get safari, youtube and mail.

With the games and whatever you had on your iPhone hack video, look on youtube for a iPod hack video.

I suggest a HTC touch or a blackburry.

So i say go Blackbury, or HTC an keep the iPod touch.

You may want to sell the iPod touch and buy the 8GB one to have some extra cash. Hoped i helped.

Thanks good luck with your choice.

  • As iPhone does not satisfy you as phone, get the iPod Touch!

  • get the touch

  • i like the keyboard on iPhone, i think it's really easy to use. besides, i couldn't leave without internet in my pocket. and it doesn't have the bad edge like the 'touch' has.

  • Keep the iPhone, updates will fix it all !

  • go for the touch + the extra 100 bucks!!!

typing on the iphone is horrible!

  • keep the iphone.i just bought on in the uk and i adore it, cannot believe it. its so easy to be updated by apple that it may be worth waiting. however if u can afford it, then maybe you could just buy iphone 2 if it has everything u want. so its whatever u think is best. the iphone is different things to different people i have discovered. like i'll rarely need visual voicemail ,but i know ppl who bought hte phone just for that feature. the regent street opening was amazing! wau!

  • stick with the i phone

  • i would just wait until an update. the apps and keyboard is blatuntly going to be updated.

its your choice at the end of the day.

  • Hi Jon,

I would take the deal. It seems like your unhappy with some features on the iphone which don't serve your purpose as well as another product might.

At the end of the day its about getting your job done. Fancy toys are wonderful but not always practical.

I would sell the ipod touch and pocket the difference. Wait for the 2nd gen or just go with a cheaper model like the ipod nano which is great.

  • Personally I wouldn't do it. But if you did you would have something new to unbox and videotape. You know you love doing that.

  • remember this also Jon.... Your iphone more then likely has a contract as pertains to the cell service. So don't forget to figure in the amount of the disconnect fees from ATT . If it was me I would evaluate how much time you think you need access to the keyboard if your answer is like 60% of time or more then i suggest selling it for the keyboard if less then 60% of time then I suggest keeping the iphone.... There is my 2 cents may the force be with you :)

  • keep the iphone. learn how the use the keyboard. i have an iphone and im really really fast with the keyboard. i use double thumbs. you can do it as well.

  • keep the iphone

  • keep iphone

  • I wouldn't sell my phone; I really like having this 1st gen. model and even when I upgrade to the 2.0 model, I'll keep this one as a display item in my collection. I've got a soft spot for it, lol.

  • DO NOT SELL!!!!!

  • don't sell....

  • Don't sell the iPhone, nothing will compare just try to get used to it, you know on safari you can use the keyboard sideways, to use two thumbs, keep the iPhone!!!

  • Just do not sell the iPhone.

  • Well if you like safari more than you think you need a keyboard, then keep it but if you really need it then i would sell it

  • sell it!!

  • keep the iphone.

  • go for it, get the money, or keep the touch

  • hmm to me i would just keep the iPhone, i think your friend kinda gets the better deal, but its up to you. sorry i know this wasnt alt of help

  • who cares about the ipod touch, you have an ipod built in your iphone. keep the iphone and long live apple

  • i sent u a msg jon but my second opinion is just go for it its a really good deal your not losing any of the features and heck if u really want all the features that the i phone has on the ipod touch you can just hack it

  • Thanks guys for all your feedback and suggestions.

I'm going to sleep on it. I know it seems like such a silly and arbitrary decision, but for whatever reason i'm really struggling.

  • i personally think its a great deal. get the ipod touch and use the 100 bucks to buy urself a sweet winmo 6 phone. they have way more features than the iphone and cost a lot lesser!

  • Wow... The guy who wants it is an idiot lol... The 16GB iPod touch is the same price as the iPhone! I would definitely take the deal and run for your life! lol.

  • i think that the keyboard is the best phone keyboard ever. you know that you don't have to delete every time you mess up, just keep typing and the iphone will take care of it for you. I type at least 30 wpm on that thing, which for a phone is just crazy! What exactly are the features that you are finding frustrating? The iphone is being hailed as the best phone ever so I can't see why you'd want to get anything but the iphone.

  • Absolutely take the deal. You can still use safari wherever there is wifi around and you can get a sweet phone like a blackberry to handle your email. You could hack the ipod touch and still have some of the features of the iphone. Id say you gotta take the deal.

  • sell ur iphone and get a phone that has a good email feature and the gps is not a bad extra. even though doing the deal will add more luggage to carry around, but the separate phone will lower your costs and will serve your needs better than the iphone espacially with the keyboard. And if you can get a cheaper phone you can hold out until apple comes out with iphone second generation, which i expect to come out at macworld san francisco. it will hopefully solve all the bugs of the fist iphone

  • iPod Touch!! You could even sell the ipod touch if you change your mind. I'd do it if I had a blackberry pearl or something and especially after much frustration (I had one before). If email and all that isn't that great, what else does it have over the ipod touch?

  • NOOOOOOOO DONT DI IT!!!!!!

  • That's a pretty good offer. I would swap but I live in the UK where WiFi isn't very widespread outside city's so will only get a 3G iPhone. Depends if you use all the features as you'll be going from one device to two and if you update the iPhone for another phone ever, you can still keep the iPhone to use an an iPod can't you?

  • Get the iPod touch for sure. The iPhone is fundamentally a luxury device, while the touch is much more practical all things considered in that it doesn't require a phone plan just to get the full benefit of its features. I personally wouldn't want something as nice/expensive as an iPod touch/iPhone and not have a less expense device to use as a phone when I was in a situation that might damage the Apple device. Any way you look at it, you have a good deal there. Go for it.

  • Keep your iPhone. You're basically downgrading and he's ripping you off.

  • sell your iphone jon

  • If I was you, I would do this deal. It sounds pretty good for me. I like ipod (ipod touch) but I kinda hate iphone. I feel it is useless except cool look. I have Nokia N800 and it is really useful, flexible & powerful than iphone. This is only my advise. Hope it helps.

  • please don't. i might seriously think about unsubscribing if you do

  • NOOOOO!!! You are getting ripped offl. iPhone=amazing!!!!!!!

  • Forgot to add, you can also hack the iPod Touch like Ecko did can't you?

  • I would go for it. You bought the first version of the iPhone, basically a prototype. The iPod Touch has all the features of the iPhone, without the phone, not to mention the $100 you get for the headset. As for the Motorola Q, I wouldn't spend money on it, my friend had one and had to bring it back due to major software problems.

  • DON'T DO IT!!! the iPhone is the best and im sure the whole email problem will be fixed shortly with an update. You will not get another phone that is capable of the iPhones POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so what about the money you have an iPhone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will never get rid of mine!!! you shouldn't either!!!

  • nooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I would do it because using wi-fi on the iPod touch is free, an iPhone racks up charges on your cell plan. Also you can play with 16 gigs. The shear thin-ness of an iPod Touch is breath taking. I've used one, I loved it, do it, and get a more business oriented phone.

  • is it someone you know or is this someone over youtube?

because you could get screwed if he just takes your phone

but EITHER WAY dont do it

    the iphone is so awsome

i would never trade mine for anything

  • i would do it, but that's just me

  • dont do it!!!

  • KEEP THE IPHONE!!! The Iphone is awesome you will miss it!

  • iphone is way better than, then motorola q . seriuosly.if i was you i would stcuk to my iphone maybe sell your bluetooth thing, but not your iphone.

  • ok lets do the math....$600 iphone - $100 (credit)= 500 for iphone and a $100 headset= 600 dollars all together

ur trading that for a 400 dollar ipod touch??? thats a rip off. ur loosing 200 bucks :(

  • just do it man if he's going to give u a touch and $100 THAT'S A $500 offer. iphone is giving u problems. also the touch and iphone are almost the same..u just cant call people with the touch.

  • If I were you I would take the Ipod touch

It can do everything the iphone can except make calls and do email. You can make it have all the same functions if you unlock/jailbreak it. Which you already know how to do from your Iphone. I sell it if I were you.

  • If you are thinking about buying the iphone 2.0 why do you want the ipod touch at all. Just wait for when you buy the iphone and then sell the old iphone for more money if you want.

  • i wouldnt sell it...... u love the iphone don't u? once you sell it you will be missing all the amazing features that the iphone has. the only reason i would do it, is if i really needed money. you could sell the touch and cell the ear piece and get a crappy phone with a cheaper plan, that could save you a lot of money.

and plus now when someone asks u "is that an iphone all u can say is " no its just a ipod touch" lol

  • soda,

    Thats a pretty good point.

  • leopard review please when you can.

  • Leopard review is coming, hopefully this week.

  • sweeeet awesome

  • Ooh! That's a tough one Jon! I would say get the iPod Touch, simply because you use your phone for business and since it's not working for you, it's not worth the struggle.

But personally, I would keep the iPhone, just for the functionality of having the phone.

For you, I would say get the iPod Touch.

So what are you gonna do?

  • Sorry for being offtopic but... what's the hold up with the leopard review.

  • I'm thinking about taking the deal and waiting until iphone 2.0 comes out. I'm 75% decided.

  • Keep the iPod touch.

  • The pro to getting the iPod Touch is...well...just double the storage.

In my personal opinion, stick with the iPhone. You aren't getting any deal by trading it in to get the iPod Touch besides the fact that you would be paying less on your cell phone bill (most likely) and a smaller device in your pocket.

  • The iPod Touch is, in basic, a stripped down iPhone. Why would you want to go backwards just for double the storage?

If you are going to sell the iPod Touch for money and want the money, go ahead and trade.

  • It's not bad to take the offer. Then use another phone and use it for couple months. Then get a second gen iPhone once it gets improved.

  • thats exactly what I'm thinking?

  • Take the deal. I think it's the best move.

  • I completely agree. Do the trade and get the second gen iphone if you really want to switch back.(I am also getting sick of my iphone!). The touch keyboard just isn't practical...

  • i totally agree i dont have the iphone but i have the ipod touch and the keyboard stinks =]

  • sell it and dont go to tmobile ITS SHIT!!!!

  • Sell the iPhone, sell the iPod Touch and buy a HTC Touch. That simple. You will have plenty features with HTC Touch and some more money to bring new stuff to review with us!!!

    Jalcom, Tampico, Mexico

  • I thought about it, but the htc touch still doesnt have a keyboard...

  • there is a new generation of HTC Touch that now comes with a keyboard!!

  • Any of you guys used opera on the new Q9H for ATT?

  • no?

    wtf is that

  • i'd go with it just because typing on the iphone is such a hastle lol plus the touch has the safari web browser as well.

  • Look jon, you dont have to pay any huge bills, but you still have a phone.

  • Thanks for all the feedback guys, it's much appreciated.

If I do it, I'll still only carry 1 device, and bring the ipod when I need it.

I'm going to stay with ATT.

I still dont know what to do!!

  • I only needed to hear the first 30 seconds of this video before I muttered to myself "Do it, John." Go for the iPod Touch. It's a great device but I'm glad I don't use it as a phone. Apple makes amazing products but...I think you'd be happier with a more experienced cell phone company's phone. I am a big fan of the LG enV, but then again, I'm a Verizon customer.

  • i would do the deal, sell the touch, you now have 500 dollars. Then go ahead and get an ipod classic, either version and one of the phones you listed.

  • u should do it. u just have to carry more stuff. and the moto q is a great phone

  • Hey Jon,

Well....if you get the iPod touch, it's basicaly the same thing as iPhone....except it doesn't have the phone or SMS.

It really is your choice, but, I do have an iPod touch, (also 16GB) and I personally love it. You still can do Web based E-mail, pictures, and all that stuff.

I probably would do it; but, it's still your choice.

  • keep the iphone... although an ipod touch would be cool to use for a while, do you really need it? don't you already have an ipod?

  • Yeah, I have an old 60 gig video. I would probably sell the touch...

  • Do you trust that guy trying to get your iPhone? Is he a reliable source? Be careful man...

  • yeah, hes pretty reliable.

  • Get the touch!!! It is exactly like an iPhone, but without the phone! it has Safari, WiFi iTunes, video, pictures and Youtube, just like the iPhone.

  • Keep the iPhone.

  • Yes, definitely do it, I am not a big fan of the iphone, as its e-mail system is quite bad.

  • if you are fine with carrying two devices I'd say go for it... first you keep your safari, itunes wi-fi, widescreen touch ipod, cover flow, pictures, all you lose is the phone app of it. And your phone can be replaced by a nice smartphone that you might like for the keyboard etc anyways... both devices would be slim anyways... it really comes down to how much you love the iphone phone app over another smartphone's and if you can be bothered to carry two devices.

  • wow! that's really tough. =/ I would take the touch and get the Tilt.

  • You already told us you want to make that deal, otherwise you wont make a video up for advise, right? For myself, I will definitely go for it because the rumor said there will be a new iphone coming up soon. You can always hack your ipod touch just to install iphone apps. Good Luck!

  • if i were in your position... i would keep the iPhone... i think... the main reason for the iPhone invention was to avoid walking around with two bulky devices... get all you want all in one... :D

  • fuck THAT

    stay with the iPhone!!!!!!

  • Sounds like a tempting offer... If it were me, I'd consider a couple of things... a)How much did you pay for the iphone vs what the iPod touch costs (+$100) - is this deal worth it? b)Who is this person? Is it someone you can trust? c)Are you losing iPhone features that you really want? - those are just the things I'd consider.

  • don do it, stay with the iPHONE

  • you should do whatever you feel is best. if i were you i would keep the iPhone, only because apple will come out with updates that will fix most of the pre in poblems. also the iphone is all in one. instead of carrying around 2 devices like the tilt and the touch, you could have an all in one. i have never held an iphone before since i live in Canada but i still think you should keep the iphone

    NATHAN

  • You should keep the iPhone, if you sell it you will miss it.

  • DO IT!!! I Have an Ipod Touch!! ITS THE BEST THING EVER!! IT HAS SAFARI,ITUNES,PICS,VIDEO,AND MUSIC ITS AWESOME.ALSO GET THE TILT!!!!!!!
