this fight is just like the first boss in NG dragon sword, ur supposed to die, but if u win on master ninja, you randomly die after u win, but u unlock something cool.

It isn't a heart attack dumbass, the guy chops Ryu in half from shoulder to hip, and in case you didn't know, beating him in this stage unlocks Mission Mode.

Yes, but notice that it's not a combo of three button presses, but a two-hit (Square, Triangle) combo, and then Triangle; he does Square, Triangle in succession, waits for Ryu to land, and then presses Triangle again before rolling away.

I'll have to try that, as I was still hitting the last triangle while Ryu was still airborne.

My problem with this battle is that after having 40% of his life depleted, Doku speeds up his "death stab" move ever so slightly, so it throws off my rhythm.

You unlock Very Hard mode by defeating him in chapter 2.

You get the suit after beating the game on the hard difficulty. The price you get for killing Doku at this point is a new difficulty.
