the kyrgyz people are one of the officially recognized ethnic groups by china. they have their own lifestyle and speak their own tongue. their ethnic identity is supported by china ccp.

But, it will be eliminated on August 18, 2009. Russians promissed 2 billion dollars to Kygyzstan if Bakiev (the current president) will show the US to the door. The Kyrgyz people will never see the money, nor Bakiev himself, however, the base will no longer be there. Russia still tries to keep it's influence by all means...
