NHL 12 now has the Winter Classic Licence and made the 2K classic look like garbage. A nicer intro into the game, snow, a realistic crowd. I wonder why 2K gave up on the NHL series...oh yeah, because after NHL 11, they can't even begin to beat that game, let alone the upcoming one

this game is a piece of bullshit. the commentary doesn't make sense sometimes, and the players don't look very realistic. Some of the commentary is very redundant and crowd doesn't react sometimes when the home team scores. it's a load of crap/ just get any NHL game made by EA sports. EA has 2K beat in most sports games.

It has better drawn out Stadiums and their features, plus I like all the bonus features (mini rink, pond hockey, winter classic games.) If they had the winter classic games added into the seasons that would be nice too, it has realistic penalty calls, they arn't just random, you can actually interfer with the goaltender, plus all your stuff, the only downsides are the feel of control as you mentioned, and 2k wonderful act of allowing the CPU to completely dominate you in the 3rd.

Well, the total control on the passing is a great idea, and if you get use to it, you can expand your game quite a bit. But it sucks when you can't just pass on instinct, intead you have to hold an release the button taking about half a secound, which really is a lot of time in a close and fast game.

you dont unlock it when you go to quick game you have to press a button i know its 1 on the wii but not sure about the other systems then it will let you choose your time for wach period and near the bottom it will say what area you want to play in then keep going untill it says wrigley field

You need strategies to get it through the neutral zone you actually have to dump it in the corner and cant just deke over the blueline, it just feels way more like hockey coming from a player... this is how to get the wrigley field go to quick game then choose blackhawks as homeand detroit as away then press Y and scroll the rink list till you find Wrigley Field TADA lol

This works for any 2 teams that you pick in exhibition mode, just change the rink to wrigley or ralph wilson stadium. Unfortunately, all the stadium art will not change (will still be detroit and chicago, etc)
