@use2slam2 Jack Russell terriers were bred as the utimate rat killing machine and was also used to bolt foxes out of their holes. The Rev. John Russell bred The Parson Russell Terrier as a working dog. Later English breeders crossed it with the Beagle to increase its scent. The brown scruffy dog is a Border Terrier and it is also a ratter. If you live in New York City, USA I suggest you get one. LOL!
@use2slam2 Yes. In the late 60's my father got viral meningitis and almost died. He spent months in the hospital. The only connection the health department people could come up with was he cleaned out an old barn with rat droppings in it. There must have been a virus that he inhaled when he swept the dust and old hay out to burn it. Rats and mice must go!

i love pet rats but this must be done for saftey, but i've had pet rats and they make exellent pets

Longest rat I have shot 19 1/4 inches nost to tail. Probably average is 15 inches on my permission.
