Well deserved Pyeongchang! After 2 bids of dissapointment you kept trying! This should be a lesson to all people. If you're knocked down, get up and keep trying!
@melonsushipan what do you expect from him? the IOC shunned Pyongyang's offer of a joint hosting. I mean, how the hell he can want one when he couldn't feed his own people well and act like a spoiled brat at the six-party talks?
@blahk04 Samsung and LG are both Korean companies, Daewoo used to be Korean until it was bought out by GM. Hyundai is Korean, Kia is Korean. Also, regardless of which brand, most products in the world including parts in iphones and ipods(which are usually Samsung designed) are manufactured in China. Japan just makes decent cars. Also, Korea did host Summer Olympics in 1988 and co-hosted World Cup with Japan not long ago.
@blahk04 If you can't remember what happend in as recently as 2008, you probably shouldn't even be talking on the internet. ---- That is China hosted Summer Olympics.
@kkksskkk I'm not the least bit impressed by anything China does. Over 1 billion people and all they learned how to do so far is copy other nations' technology. They haven't even figured out that communism is a bad idea yet. China probably has a bright future, but for now, nothing special, besides giant population.
@blahk04 As far as copying goes, that is done by smaller illegal operations, not by huge corporations. Plus, everything is a copy of something in the these days. China is quite open right now, it's not even considered a communist country anymore. It is slowly transitioning to full on democracy(or hopefully federalism, a country of that size can only be controlled successfully through federalism), you can't rush that kind of change. Also, without China, everything would be much more expensive.
@blahk04 so you say, why this country lend your country(USA) a lot of money it's now usa's biggest creditor even if its special it's your important creditor, just bear that in mind
@shithappens1818 YES... YES... I KNOW... it's more than a bit much .... i know it's several years away... but i just can't imagine north korea letting this happen. honestly.... they will go 10nth degree bat-shit to prevent this.
@shithappens1818 North Korea does participate in Olympics too. Plus, I think their view of Korea is changing. They are probably proud that their brothers are hosting an international event.

Jacques Rogge hates America. He needs to resign or get out of his position, IOC, so America has better chance to win winter olympic bid.
